We want Sheehan out

Cast your mind back to the start of last season Bend, we were all creaming ourselves because we sensed a play off push...

If football was played on paper. 😂
Yup.... The situation we're in is real shitty. There is no ideal solution.

However, EVERY season we're expecting a play off push, aren't we? If not, why not? Why should we start a season thinking "meh! Middle/bottom/cardiff it is, then!".

Not everything I'm posting is serious, btw.

Because the Stella, cocaine and Stone Island brigade over in the East is of course representative of the full fanbase isn't it.

Meanwhile, over in the West, next to nothing. People unhappy we lost, sure, but none so audibly vocal that they wanted Sheehan's blood.

Swans Twitter is whipping a lot of a certain type of people up into a proper frenzy, and don't pretend that it isn't.
If you left it to the west stand Bob Bradley would still be in charge.

And therein lies the problem. People getting excited because we’ve signed some foreigners they’ve never heard of, so they must be good.

Our squad’s paper thin and seriously lacking quality where it matters. Ronald, Eom, Cullen offer very little threat. Vip can blast one in from 30 yards but is otherwise not involved in games. Inoussa and Widell have moments but are inexperienced. We have one RB, one LB and 2 kids covering CB and LB between them. Fulton and a featherweight kid is our midfield backup with Stamenic out.

If we’re honest, we know the players are not up to it at the moment. We know when we have a good player, we’ve seen enough and very few of these make our Championship best 11 of the modern era.

The last owners fkd us. What little money we had was spent on crap, some of which barely played before being loaned out or offloaded. It’s going to take a long time to fix us OR a lot of money/effort (and I’m not convinced we’re in a good place in terms of the leadership team).

We can see the players care and they’re collapsing on the pitch knackered at the end of games because they’ve given everything. It fks me off that fat knackers with 8 pints in them who can’t even be arsed to watch the whole game and can’t walk up the stairs without breaking into a sweat start hurling abuse at them.

We used to be better than this. We used to support the team through thick and thin, but that’s rapidly disappearing.

End of rant 🤣
And we also used to shoot and score a lot more, play some beautiful football and were a top end championship side. Your point is moot.

It's also not true.

If anything, the fans are more 'civil' today than they used to be. I can remember loads of occasions down the Vetch where our own players had absolute dogs abuse from the crowd. Managers too.

Of course, after we moved from the Vetch, everything was going in the right direction and so there'll have been a period of time when it didn't happen. For the last 10 years now though, everything is going in the wrong direction and fans are (understandably imo) fed up.

Would Sheehan have been in more credit had he come along 4 or 5 years earlier? Probably. But he's come into an environment where fans have had enough of the same old rubbish. It is particularly frustrating given the fact that we were a lot better than this under him last season.

Anyone thinks today is the day?
I don't think it will happen. Buckle up for next 2 weeks 🤣

I don't think he's going for a while yet. I think of Williams' last few months with us, where it felt terminal for about six weeks, and still we carried on in our deathspiral. The new owners might be more incisive, but I'd be surprised if he went before Christmas (and I'm someone who wants him off)

Sadly I think your right 😒😒😒😒

Depends if the board have had encouragement if they’ve sounded out potential managers, they ain’t going to mess around imo like the Williams situation they’ve invested heavily and have a lot of eyes on the product, they will want to try and salvage something this season something unfortunately doesn’t look like happening under Sheehans guidance.

It seems it's not just our fans who think we are in a bit of bother.
Tend to check our prom/rel odds from time to time.
Sky bet we are 9/2 for the drop. Around 3 weeks ago we were 20/1.

9/2 is better then I expected. All of our underlying numbers and performances have us comfortably in the bottom 3 even behind Sheff wed in a lot of cases.

Saw a point made online that the timing could be a factor, if they decide to pull the trigger (I've seen no indication of that fwiw).
Middlesbrough & Norwich are looking for a new manager. WBA are said to be considering alternatives to Ryan Mason already.
Of the potential managers out there, would we be able to compete with these clubs to offer an attractive package?

When we've been on the search for manager previously, it would be a firm No from me. This time, with our profile recently being in the spotlight with Modric and Snoop and a bit more money on offer, I think we can be a little more competitive.

If we don put Sheehan out of his misery, I'd like us to think out of the box and try something different in terms of the managers profile.

Let’s show a bit of ambition on the managerial side, Sheehan is on borrowed time, bite the bullet and go after someone like Gary O’Neil.

O'Neil swapping with Rob Edwards and going to Middlesbrough.
I did say someone like Gary O’Neil, the point being that we have to make a change and preferably during the international break.

The idea that we carry on until Xmas is madness in my opinion, let’s give a new man the chance to have a look at the squad in the weeks leading up to the January window, there’d be huge pressure on anyone coming in after the Xmas programme if we’re still in this position.
