• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Vipotnik - Top Scorer (Championship)

We took our stronger players like Widdell off and Ronald had two opportunities to play him in and failed as he usually does. Vipotnik totally deserved a hat trick last night.

    Jay Fulton

So did Grimes and he was idolized on here

    Vipotnik - Top Scorer (Championship)

Mental assessment - Haaland would have struggled under Williams and Sheehan

    Vipotnik - Top Scorer (Championship)

I think you are overlooking his most important quality - he can smash the ball equally hard with both feet and can score from outside the area. That (if he hits 25 plus) should get us 15-20 Million.

    Vipotnik - Top Scorer (Championship)

Absolutely. His finish against Birmingham was top quality. I hope Matos goes balls out to get the ball forward much more quickly because he might hit 30 with the correct service.

The despair of a Blackburn fan

There were 3 middle aged Blackburn fans in the Harvester scoffing at our team sheet saying they’d never heard of any of our players. This became apparent when one bet on Ronald to score at any time 🤣🤣🤣🤣

And to think some on here thought he was a league one striker. He was excellent tonight and would have scored three or four if Ronald had anything about him

Got to give Bobby Wales a go if Vipotnik comes off surely - especially if we are 2 or 3 up I thought Widdell had a brilliant game - far more influence than those two had.

    Some thoughts after yesterday’s game

The most part of that post was to speculate how we improve even more and getting Vipotnik to his full potential but if you’re hung up on the negatives that’s all you’ll see. Don’t become a female perch Lisa you’re far less depressing that that .

    Some thoughts after yesterday’s game

I think this is Matos next challenge - to design a midfield that can be more cohesive and create a lot more chances. The press improvement has brought us away from the relegation places but to really thrive in this division we need to move the ball far quicker and more inventively from back to...

    Adam Idah

I know this thread is about Idah and he hasn’t really impressed so far but i think Wales did well when he came in especially his part in the run up to Inoussa’s goal. Great link up play by the young man. Forget the penalty he’s definitely got something about him

The January 2026 Transfer Window Thread - Now Closed!

Eom has been completely rejuvenated under Matos - proving that Matos was definitely the right appointment in my eyes. You can’t judge such a young player as Inoussa on such a lack of a run of games. Ronald has been d*gsh*t for months but he always gets a free pass. We should be playing Inoussa...

The January 2026 Transfer Window Thread - Now Closed!

Time to get you eyes tested. There’s a very decent player in there who has had very little chance to play regularly. Ronald should have been dropped months ago - if you want to bang on about inconsistency then there’s the elephant in your room.

The January 2026 Transfer Window Thread - Now Closed!

I think you’re wrong there with all due respect. He has always been behind Eom even when eom was pretty poor himself. Needs a good run of games to be judged properly as does Widdell

It’s still a game that gets the hairs going up on the back of your neck especially of a certain vintage who remember our play off semi final with them back in the nineties. FA cup adds to that definitely

BREAKING: Wales legend Terry Yorath dies aged 75 after daughter Gabby forced to leave MOTD show

Whoops just saw the news. Didnt realise MOTD was on last night so got the wrong end of the stick. Apologies all

    Terry Yorath RIP

I think we went up in the play offs beating Rotherham then Torquay over two legs. I was one of the “Torquay 300” (all the tickets they’d let us have) and got soaked being kept in for ages afterwards in an open away end. Great memories of my first proper away season - 1-4 at orient and 0-1 at...

    The press and the passion

I think he’s had a huge impact on the players and he’s improved some of them markedly. There seems to be a real buy in with what Matos wants to do.

I said early on we might have a diamond in the rough. Couldnt be happier for him after a tough start too.
