• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Not surprised they're making a quadruple sub, we've been pulling them all over the pitch when in possession and pressing them to death when they have the ball.

Ronald is now our joint second highest goal scorer this season. Which I think says a lot.

    Season 26/27

In hindsight, it's definitely the fitness levels on show in preseason that should have set alarm bells ringing. The hand-wringing about the results ignores that we started the season with 3 wins, 3 draws, 2 defeats from the opening 8 games and were in 8th place in the table. Not to mention...

    The Disappearing Thread

Exactly. It remains to be seen if he'll prove to be a good signing, but I think there's been some positive signs given his lack of minutes. I don't think we can deny he was a very expensive purchase for us, even if the current spend on the transfer is nowhere near £7m. However, most of these...

    Our centre backs

I could see an argument that Burgess for Darling was an upgrade under Sheehan and the way he wanted us to play, but the opposite is true under Matos. I feel a bit for the bloke, he's obviously got his strengths and he has been ever-present as others have pointed out, but him and Cabango don't...

Talking of Matos' subs, I'm not sure the new rules around substitutions are helping. It means we often make multiple subs at the same time to maximise how many we can make and I think it upsets the rhythm of the team.

The alternative was he ran at 5 players and inevitably got tackled. Thinking decisions like that cost us the game is nonsense.

To be fair to him, on one occasion it was because he'd won the ball back and had around 5 Southampton players closer to him than any of ours. Given it was 1-1 at the time, it was probably the right decision to slow play down and keep the ball.

    Keir Starmer

I'm sorry Max, but a lot of that is nonsense and backs up what ECB and jack_lord have said earlier in the thread about the influence of the media and social media. As someone who works with unemployed people, while there are many, many issues with the benefits system, encouraging people to stay...

The inheritance tax threshold is £500k if the main home is included. If there's more than that, I don't think any offspring is going to be on the breadline after they pay the tax.

    What Ewe Watching

I watched the first series with the wife. She wasn't keen, but I enjoyed. Keep meaning to go back to it, think it's up to 5 seasons now? Ronald D Moore knows how to make sci-fi shows.
