• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

The Swan Dive: why Swansea’s attendances have taken a plunge?

Well written but let's be frank-The average attendance in our Championship years prior to promotion were all in the 15,000s even in the promotion year. That's what our realistic championship baseline is. A better season and some excitement after five years of dour football may add a couple of...

    Any Bass players

Have a look at a Yamaha-arguably best bang for your buck for guitars and basses. If you want something very different have a look at a Gretsch which have a shorter scale but look very classy. The other left field option is a Hagstrom

Early days but Stamenic and Galbraith look our best midfield since the days of Leon and DeGuzman

Better players than the swill they bought. They may well go up and arguably should, but let's see how young heads and legs fare in cold, wet November.

I should add I have no stake in this game. Dislike them both as clubs

If Brendan's Celtic rip him a new one on the 31st which is entirely possible, then he may not see August out. For all Brendan's bluster he is a good manager. Russell Martin not so.

Maybe he had a strong local accent and it was misinterpreted. Doubt that though. Anfield was notoriously racist back in the 70s and 80s despite an integrated black population-this book https://www.wsc.co.uk/the-archive/barnes-storm/ exposed that around John Barnes joining the club. Although most...

Maybe, but that assumes this goes to Crown Court. Either way the bloke was a Grade 'A' prick and won't be seeing the inside of Anfield again any time soon.

It would be a different charge. Jones got off as the prosecution had to convince the jury that there was intent to incite violence. This would be a lesser charge of using racist or discriminatory language. There may well be footage, but that's not going to be released as it could prejudice any...

Semenyo's word and corroborated by others nearby. I've seen reports the guy has a record of abusing players. Semenyo clearly had enough balls to take it further.

I'm concerned that opposition front benchers are undermining the rule of law and the right to jury trial. There was enough fuss last year when moves were made to reduce the backlog in courts through reducing the number of trials going to Crown Court. Unfortunately memories are short and...

Neither. Another jury may have convicted Jones. Lucy may have been acquitted if she stood trial And you would be very naive not think that the handlers of the right-wing paid shills like Grimes did not have tweets and Facebook posts prepared to dole out if the verdict has been an acquittal...

No, not at all. The point to you was it was not an online act. I apologise if it came over that way.

Remember Jones did not post it online. He was filmed by someone who did and then weaponised by the 'patriots'. A few days ago it was the Manchester airport assaults and how disappointed they must be that been when found guilty by a jury. And don't forget these are Tory, not Starmer's laws.

But none of us have sat through the evidence. The jury did and found him not guilty with little deliberation. Perhaps Drax the Destroyer was the foreman. If you have seen the first 'Guardians of the Galaxy' film I hope you get it.

Ultimately it comes down to ALL the evidence produced not the short clips on social media. The burden is on the CPS to show unequivocally there is enticement to cause disorder. Plead guilty and there is not.
  19. Professor

    Ricky Jones

`Indeed. Nor have any of us sat though the proceedings. Of course the 'patriots' are losing it on social media crying two tier justice. He was arrested, charged and tried having chosen to please not guilty. Rapid unanimous jury design suggest he made a strong case

People jailed for online comments were naive/stupid/ poorly advised to plead guilty. Jones got a good KC and took the jury trial option. Racists are notoriously stupid.
