• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    Deathrow records collab announced.

It was 20 minutes after the announcement that they had more stock before the website was working properly. Whoever is responsible for that side of the club really needs to go on a good training course, or get some more staff. I managed to bag a few Xmas presents before the stock ran out...

    12 games

I'm not surprised or troubled by the fact that Ronald hasn't completed a cross in 12 games, because Ronald isn't that kind of player. I am far more concerned about the number of times he gets into advanced positions and then looks to pass the ball back, holding up play and allowing the...

    27 Points Needed - 9 Wins

Jesus. We are only 11 points off the play-off places with 75 left to play for. I despair about old people today. Bunch of miserabilists.

Struggling to see anything controversial there? Who is this ECB, sounds very sensible

    Poster Of The Year 2025

Such a nice post. I’m afraid on the strength of this post I am going to have to go against your advice and vote for you. Sorry!

    Deathrow records collab announced.

The website has a ‘click here to be updated when they are back in stock’ option. While I wouldn’t be surprised if that is an error, it suggests not. And given how quickly they sold out the first time, there has to be a decent income for the club if they do stock them again, surely?

    Deathrow records collab announced.

Anyone know when the hoodies are going to be back in stock? Last time I was in Swansea the staff in the club shop said they were expecting them in time for Christmas. Didn't say which Christmas though.

Plus we are shooting from range now, which we hardly ever did under Sheehan. So the 'touches in the box' stat isn't going to reflect the reality of how much we are improving as an attacking threat. Just got to work on keeping the ball down a bit...

FA Cup Third Round - Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion

We are down to the last 65. This could be our year.

FA Cup Third Round - Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion

That is an impressive fact. I think the match I am referring to may have been our April '82 3-1 win over them but I do take your point. I vividly remember thinking 'How nice it is to see so many diverse supporters in the North Bank all of a sudden. Oh, hang on...' And then it all kicked off.

FA Cup Third Round - Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion

These days it would be quite nice to see some of the empty seats in the home stands being filled up, even if it is with away supporters intent on mayhem.

FA Cup Third Round - Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion

Harsh. I remember a game at the Vetch when they infliltrated a large number of their supporters into the North Bank. Must have been 1981 or 1982. I always wondered what they had against us as it's not exactly a local derby.

Cabango, Burgess and Timon have not become bad players all of a sudden. Yes, we have problems in some key areas (pun not entirely unintended) but I think a lot of it is down to confidence and to tactics. So the manager is crucial to both of those problems. We do need to strength in the...

The whole team? Entire squad? So the only option is to get rid of all of them and start again? 😳

I actually wasn’t referring to you. I was only saying today to another regular poster on here how good your posts are. It’s the posters who consistently post that we are doomed. No analysis, no alternatives, just negativity. We know they feel that way. Maybe they can just post a ‘doomed’ emoji...

I haven’t been following this thread today but I am willing to bet that there a LOT of posts from people who usually are most active when we lose. Am I correct? Not defending the players or management, just saying that there are some posters who thrive on our failures…

Were they gutless or were they outplayed by another physical team (like Ipswich) who got away with some foul play because they knew how to play the referee? Sone of our players (eg Ronald) felt like they played the ball back too often rather than taking on their opponent, but it didn’t feel at...

I agree that he’s a better player than he generally gets credited for, but today it seemed to me that most of his passes were backwards or sideways, and nearly always to the player they came from.
