• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

They didn’t have much chance to see the coast so they all came out on mass, thinking it would be a lovely experience, but the match was in winter so they were all gutted. They were bored of the mountainous Hawthorns being the highest football ground in all four Divisions.
That is an impressive fact. I think the match I am referring to may have been our April '82 3-1 win over them but I do take your point. I vividly remember thinking 'How nice it is to see so many diverse supporters in the North Bank all of a sudden. Oh, hang on...' And then it all kicked off.

I remember we drew them in 86/87 in the 3rd rd. Albion were a struggling division 2 side and we were riding high in the old 4th
Sean McCarthy scored a last minute winner to give us a 3-2 win down the Vetch.

I liked Sean McCarthy.

Still that's what? 4 out of 4 cup games this season where we have been drawn as the home side?

We’re on a bit of a roll. It feels like we’ve had far more than our fair share of home cup draws for a few years

I remember we played Rotherham on New Years Day 1991 and won 5-0, played them in the FA Cup a 4 days later and drew 0-0 and then lost the replay two weeks later, 4-0, which kick started a 10 game losing streak. One of the worst of my lifetime. We lost 16 of our final 23 games.
