• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Probably regretting not using more conditioner 😁

    Josh Tymon

Leif Davis maybe. Tymon is great but has yet to prove he can deliver in the PL. Although Davis is having a quieter season as he’s being asked to invert more to accommodate wingers (that’s giving me horrible flashbacks to Williams inverting Key). So it’s arguable on current form. Josh is superb...

    Vipotnik - Top Scorer (Championship)

A foot like a traction engine though. Feck me, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone strike a ball so hard. Bony could hit one, but nothing like this.

    Vipotnik - Top Scorer (Championship)

Yeah, he’s a bit one dimensional. All he does is score goals, which is not a bad trait for a striker! Teams tend to ask more from their CFs in the Prem. He’s also not particularly quick, which would hold him back in the PL too - it’s all about pace, power, mobility. But then the change from last...

👀 really? Lob attempt aside, I thought he was terrible. He touched the ball 16 times in the first half. Jerry Yates was more involved and they had less than 40% possession. Yalcouye did a lot more in half the time. But it’s not a day to criticise. It all worked out well.

Fk off tw*t 🤣 Very good thanks. It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a match as much after the 2nd went in. We needed a lift then as well as it was getting a bit flat. And 1-0 is never easy for us. Lovely afternoon in the sun too.

If we win tomorrow, how far does that put us off the playoffs? I’d have snapped your arm off to be in the position we’re in now when Matos came in. Was it a couple of games before he got his first win? Since then he’s worked wonders.

Apparently there’s huge demand across the UK to watch 16th v 24th in the second tier during Sunday Lunchtime. It’s all the rage 😒

And it’s not just pumping money in, because you can’t do that unless you get a model that increase income that then allows you to spend on the squad. They’re getting it right off the pitch foremost. We’re kind of pissing around in that area dabbling with celebs but are miles behind.

    Matt Grimes (not Jamie)

I agree. There's a lot of truth in that because he either makes a team tick or doesn't. Maybe the main criticism against him is that a team he's in can become predictable, because he is that main focus. And that's more a criticism of the team/tactics. He's the sort of player who can play in any...

    Matt Grimes (not Jamie)

Not Franco, no. Possibly Tymon, but I think Grimes was probably our best player when he left. He's one of the best CDMs in the league. We can ignore the Coventry fans, they'll be as blinkered and end up as bitter as ours were, as people don't appreciate what he does. Ironically, I think that's...

    Another manager gone - Blackburn

Yep, definitely timed so they can be cheapskates. If it was about form and results they could have got shot in December.

Tymon would be a massive loss - he’s the only one who can consistently put in quality crosses. I’d not heard there was interest. We’d be nuts to let him go. Stamanic we could just about cope without, but I’d rather keep him. I’m looking forward to tomorrow and all the new signings. All we need...

We’re missing Widell as well, both his energy in the press and his link between midfield and attack,

We need to clam down a bit and get our foot on the ball instead of giving it away with our first touch

Is there a more frustrating player to watch than Ronald? All the time in the world, Fulton in acres of space for a cutback but he doesn’t look up. A good start though.
