I honestly don’t know how much that podcast actually watch us to be honest. Before we appointed Matos, one of them was saying we should appoint Skubala from Lincoln who is the polar opposite of a Swansea City manager in terms of style.Interesting coments on this fooball podcast, they talk about the weekend Championship games and Vip being the top scorer comes up. One of the pair was saying how he doesn't think Vip is that good.

VP has things to work on but to not rate him is some serious rage-bate. I think one or both of them support Derby. They wouldn’t be turning Vipotnik away if they had the chance to sign him.
This is the tricky part. We’d all like him to stay but I don’t know if we can afford not sell someone like him at the peak of his worth. That’s what our transfer model is meant to be all about, sell for 20mill (hopefully) and use it to improve the rest of the squad.I agree, hopefully Vip will show them what he can do next week. It shows me though that Vip maybe needs another season like this to proove he's not a one season wonder and give him time to improve those parts of the game that we know needs improving.
The issue then is his contract would be getting closer to the end, so unless we want his value dropping would need to extend his contract at some point, unless we get a silly money offer for him this summer.

If as rumours are this summer the club will announce the biggest sponsorship deal the club has ever had then the need and want ( as some posters are saying on an almost hourly basis ) shouldnt come into play. This is the tricky part. If that happens, then I’d agree that it probably goes in our favour in terms of keeping him. I’d love to see him here next season personally with some goalscoring wingers alongside him. Think we also need to factor in Vipotnik himself, if he gets offered a much higher salary in a different league and wants to leave, then it makes sense for us to sell him.If as rumours are this summer the club will announce the biggest sponsorship deal the club has ever had then the need and want ( as some posters are saying on an almost hourly basis ) shouldnt come into play.
I can understand people watching him occasionally thinking he doesn’t have the all round game to play any higher.Interesting coments on this fooball podcast, they talk about the weekend Championship games and Vip being the top scorer comes up. Yeah, he’s a bit one dimensional. All he does is score goals, which is not a bad trait for a striker! Teams tend to ask more from their CFs in the Prem. He’s also not particularly quick, which would hold him back in the PL too - it’s all about pace, power, mobility. But then the change from last year to this has been great, so maybe he could step up again.I can understand people watching him occasionally thinking he doesn’t have the all round game to play any higher.
The improvement in his pressing, hold up play and different type of goals he’s scored over the last couple of months might make a PL club take a gamble in the summer though. The fact that he’s got 3 or 4 players close to him at all times has helped in all those aspects as well.
If we had a Scott Sinclair in this side we would be right up there now.Technically, a lot of the money clubs will be put off with Vipotnik's limitations but if our owners can hold off for a season selling one or two of our gems in the summer, just think what that extra couple of percentage points Vitor will add to the quality of our squad next season.
The reaction in the Sky studio after the game and after Vitor's press interview will I have no doubt attract clubs in the summer but if we can retain the core of our squad and put off suitors keen on Vitor's signature in the summer transfer window then we could be quite a force next season.
Definitely should take what we get from him. Anything 10mill and above I'd accept. My biggest fear really is we will be going into the new season with a new striker. With Vip gone (it's gonna happen), we will be reliant on Wales and Idah. Which I have 0 issues with. But would be nice for once to go into a season with a goal scorer with confidence and one that knows the club. Saying that, and I'll throw it out there maybe this will be a 1 hit wonder season for Vip? And we should gamble and take as much as possible. Who knows.
Another one who wants him gone ffs turn it inDefinitely should take what we get from him. Anything 10mill and above I'd accept.
As for a ST if Vip goes they'd obviously bring one in but we'd have to cross that bridge when we come to it. To get promoted from this league you have to sell your players especially when they are overvalued to then reinvest.
They seem to mostly rely on stats. It was pretty telling that they referenced the games we lost as a reason for us not to get too excited, if they watched those games they would be aware of just how close a lot of them were and how the performances were still strong.I honestly don’t know how much that podcast actually watch us to be honest.
