    George Byers

Potter rated him higher than Fulton, at least.

    Transfer window

We signed 3 left backs in the summer, didn't need them so sent 3 out on loan this month, now we need to sign a squad-filler for the position.

Swans target short team deal for Norwich left back as two more head for exit?

Is all the blame going to admin man Watson or is recruitment specialist Josh Marsh getting a share?

    Best 11

That's a grim lineup considering Yates performances, both widemen being unproven, Key's lack of fitness and the midfield gap.

Not sure why we would loan in an untested youngster for a few months in a dead season when we could give Liam Smith and (when he's fit) Sam Parker some learning experiences instead. I'm sure the big clubs will appreciate the work we do for them, whatever that's worth. Does sometimes feel like...

    Tochi Chukwuani

He's one of few players we have who want to take the ball on the half turn and move forward. We've got better footballers but too many of them spend all their time looking backwards. Martin didn't rate Cooper too highly either (despite talking him up a lot while out on loan), even had Congreve...

The Official Match Thread | Season 2023/24 l Leicester City vs Swansea City | The EFL Championship

I shouldn't have complimented Yates at half time. Completely anonymous second half. Good for Martins to get 45 minutes, looked like he wanted to pitch in defensively as well as trying to go forward. Encouraging. I feel a bit for Humphreys. The team does him no favours giving him the ball all...

Rushworth loves that idiotic pass into midfield. How many times does he need to see us concede from it?

Yates having his best game for us. Actually played like a centre forward for periods, made things happen. Humphreys and Wood at the back though. All over the place, never look comfortable with the ball at their feet. They need a lot more help. Tymon hides from the ball when Humphreys gets on it...

    Ali Al-Hamadi

See how he gets on before bemoaning our fortunes. He really only had a short few months playing u21s football with us due to injury, and despite his massive size advantage never impressed at u18s level the same way strikers like Cullen, Iwan Morgan, josh Thomas did. Was offered a contract to...

    Agreements with Notts County?

    Who would we actually want?

    Blackburn want Yates on loan

He's scored more than we should have expected if anything. His numbers weren't great last season if you adjusted for penalties and scoring 11 during two brief purple patches. He had long goal droughts where we have to assume he was adding value to Blackpool in some other ways to retain his place.

    Ogbeta to Peterborough?

Lincoln McFayden was knocking on the first team door before he got injured a year ago. Not much of a defender but gets forward really effectively (when he manages to stay onside). Turns 22 in a few weeks so past due for some senior football here or elsewhere. Sam Parker played there a couple of...

The FA Cup Fourth Round 23/24 | The Official Match Thread | AFC Bournemouth v Swansea City FC | The Vitality Stadium

Can't for the life of me understand the logic of bringing on Paterson when we're 5-0 down and have a bench full of underutilised "youngsters" (22 isn't that young) who will I'm sure be on the phone to their agents once they're out of the manager's eyeline.

To defend Ashby I think he's been told to do a similar job to what Sam Parker was doing, acting as the wide attacker down the right rather than defending properly. Doesn't excuse his lack of ability.

Sack Williams if he persists with this back three. Hasn't worked for us since 6 months of Steve Cooper.

Williams shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt for picking such a daft lineup. Whatever we make of our transfer dealings he's picked this shambles with Ashby as an attacker, loads of slow midfielders, Wood and Humphreys...

Do we think just spending money will help given what we bought in the summer?
