Swansea City Have Parted Ways with Head Coach Luke Williams

I really liked Williams when he joined. A really positive, open personality, impossible not to warm to. Then he clearly struggled to get buy in to his ideas, probably mainly because he had the wrong players to implement his game plan. At that point he lost the plot, starting with the home game...

    Ronald

If you focus exclusively on his attacking end product I would agree with you. 2 goals and 7 assists is a decent return but nothing out of the ordinary. However, when you factor in his defensive contribution (best in league for both tackles and duels won) he's certainly making a good contribution...

    Summer Transfer Window

The thing that needs to be remembered is that LoB has a lot of say with regards to where he ends up. If he wants to join us then he can demand that or simply sit out the rest of his contract if Forest don't play ball. The challenge will be if other clubs are willing to offer him a better...

    Summer Transfer Window

Our upturn under Sheehan was primarily down to our defensive improvement. Ronald plays an important role in our intense mid press. Lose that at our peril.

    Summer Transfer Window

Offensively Ronald is pretty average, but defensively he's the best winger in the league (I won't bore you with the details, so unless you want to check it out for yourselves you'll have to take my word for it). So overall he's above average for the Championship. £5 million might be pushing it...

His last 3 games weren't so good, especially the last two. The job was done by then to be fair.

    Summer Transfer Window

https://sportwitness.co.uk/swansea-man-has-four-suitors-lining-up-this-summer-swans-set-clear-transfer-stance/ 2 million Euros would be totally inadequate. He's performed well enough to merit a better return than that. The only qualification to that is if we have someone better lined up as a...

Norwich now have a centre back duo of Jakov Medic, Darling. Comedy gold 🥇

    Summer Transfer Window

The The bottom line is, are they good enough? Parker is clearly deemed good enough for a regular place on the bench, despite his tender years. I have no idea about the rest. But in general it would probably be best if these youngsters went out on loan, with recall clauses. Sitting on the bench...

    Summer Transfer Window

I agree 100 per cent. Fortunately I think it's unlikely we will get big bids in this window, but in the unlikely event a bid in excess of 8 million comes in I'm sure he will leave. I think we will have him for another season at least. Especially agree with the last para. Whatever "it" is he has it.

    Feel good factor..

If there is a concern it will be our lack of pace at the back. I can see Sheehan chopping and changing approach based on the speed of the opposition strikers, perhaps defending deeper at times.

    Summer Transfer Window

Apart from Yates, all squad players with little or no resale value, so no urgency to move them on, although it would be handy to free up some wages. Will Franco, Cullen, Eom and Vipotnik attract interest? Possibly, although we would probably want at least 3 million, preferably 4, for the latter...

    Cardiff’s New Manager 😂😂😂😂😂

They really don't get it that these delusions of grandeur are completely counterproductive. If you think you're better than you are before a ball is kicked then complacency is inevitable. Hunger, humility and honesty are bedrocks of success. Long may they fail to recognise it.

    Feel good factor..

I think it's Ok to get a little bit carried away, after all if you can't get carried away in pre-season when can you? But even with a cooler examination of our prospects there's good reason to be optimistic. That 2023/24 summer window seemed decent at the time simply because of the number of...

    Summer Transfer Window

Apparently Sheffield United have offered Brewster a new contract. Fan opinion in him is divided, but definitely a lot more positive than it was. "So recently he’s been OK to good and now looks to be a decent player (average Championship standard). However there’s not a single game in the last 4...

    Summer Transfer Window

That's correct. His first full season for Sheffield United he scored zero goals and had no assists in 30 games. He's only scored a handful since then. He did have a number of bad injuries I seem to recall. Having played 42 games last season he's probably over that. I'm certainly not arguing we...

If we could get this player back we'd be into a winner for sure. Mainly played as an AM last season.

    Summer Transfer Window

Any thoughts on Rhian Brewster? Probably had his best season last season since his half season with us. Not that that says much, managing 4 goals and 3 assists in 42 appearances. The fact he managed so many games for a team that just missed out in promotion suggests he can't have been that bad...

    Summer Transfer Window

Beat me to it. Shame it never worked out, but at least we're putting that disastrous summer 2023/24 window behind us slowly. Yates should be next to go, hopefully for a million plus.
