    Dribbling

Eom and Tymon (Josh is best in league for successful crosses) are both excellent crossers to be fair, and Key is pretty decent too. Ronald and newcomer Inoussa less so. I expect to see Inoussa cutting in from the left to shoot with his favoured right a lot. Widell has strong crossing stats, so...

Dribbling and crossing. Whatever next? Having your cake and eating it? Yes, please 🙏

    Dribbling

I agree with your general points, although the improvement under Sheehan has been small, up from 19 per cent accuracy to a still below average 22 per cent. But upping the quality, even if that means recycling the ball a bit more, is definitely called for. One thing smart wingers do, which he...

    Dribbling

There are clear signs that dribbling is make a slow but sure return to the game and is making inroads into the possession obsession. No bad thing in my book, and I'm sure many will agree. A good dribble is always exciting to watch, and boy do we need more thrills. Of course it never disappeared...

    Eom on the right?

I agree. On the face of it we should have a very exciting team next season.

    Eom on the right?

Possibly, but Sheehan last season preferred a 4-1-4-1 so moving to a 4-2-3-1 would represent a change of direction. I think he'll stick with the 4-1-4-1 and use Eom and Widell ahead of Franco, assuming O'Brien doesn't resign. Ronald and Inoussa on the flanks. Loads of dribbling ability there...

    Eom on the right?

Class act. Our best player technically. Just need a bit more end product which I'm confident will come.

    Eom on the right?

Any thoughts on Eom playing on the right? He has played there in South Korea. Inoussa will play on the left so if Eom is to be a starter he needs to be wide left of a central 3 in a 4-3-3, or as a twin 8/10 in a 4-1-4-1, or wide right. I guess we don't know how he would fare, but being right...

    Cardiff City relegation party

Rochdale are a small club by League one standards. He also kept them up for two seasons. His pedigree isn't great for sure, but that doesn't mean he's certain to fail. Assuming he has a possession led approach he may struggle with a squad that hasn't been built with that in my mind, but the...

    Cardiff City relegation party

Hard to say how BBM would fare, but if he's appointed it would be the first time they've got a manager that's more possession led than ours. Not necessarily a bad thing but an interesting development nevertheless.

    Eom on the right?

I agree. He has a lot of the attributes of a full back - defensive ability and work ethic, coupled with pace.

    Eom on the right?

Inoussa is also right footed, so, like Eom, prefers to cut in from the left and deliver inswingers. Unlike Eom, he's only played on the left.

    Eom on the right?

With the signing if Inoussa could Eom replace Ronald in the right? Eom is mainly right footed and his crossing accuracy is far better than Ronald's. He's also a better dribbler. Given his excellent defensive attributes could Ronald play as an 8? All a bit left field I know, but the summer's long...

Ampadu and James, Wilson and Brooks further forward. Johnson wide right or as a 9.

I wonder if Bellamy goes with a similar approach to Turkey at home with an effectively 4-4-2 with Brooks and Wilson as twin false 9s making runs from deep. Shame we're missing Williams' long ball ability, although Ben isn't too bad in that regard.

Doku up against Roberts is my biggest concern. He will need plenty of help from Johnson or Wilson.

    Joe Allen S4C documentary

Nice look back at his career, well worth a watch. Subtitles throughout, although a fair bit of the interviews are in English. Hope he returns in some capacity, I'm sure he has a lot to offer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/live/s4c?rewindTo=current

Russell Martin is set to be appointed new Rangers Manager.

"Luke Williams, the former boss of Swansea City and Notts County, is understood to be one of the leading candidates for the Bristol City job after Liam Manning’s exit." Now that is a surprise. I expect Williams' next job to be at League Two level, League One if he's lucky. I'd be amazed if he...

Russell Martin is set to be appointed new Rangers Manager.

The problem with being fixated on a set of principles that you apply regardless of circumstances is that you end up being a hostage to fortune. That's very much been the case for Amorin at United, where he's insisted on sticking with 3 at the back despite the fact their squad is ill suited to...

Russell Martin is set to be appointed new Rangers Manager.

Fair enough. I find it strange that Martin can create such strong feelings positive and negative. Having a strong ego isn't a bad trait in a manager, as Brian Clough demonstrated. It helps if you have the right footballing ideas mind.
