    Attendance next season

We should use aggressive dynamic pricing to ensure that the stadium is sold out, even if it means selling thousands of seats for a fiver. If the home stands are sold out regularly, not only will it help the atmosphere and performances, the sense of scarcity will create a virtuous cycle that...

Good too, but I think the lyrics for part two are fantastic, especially with Trump in mind. Substitute meme coins for seashells...

I suppose Spurs have put the ignominy of not having won a major trophy since before we won ours behind them...

His stuff isn't commercial at all. But he has a massive cult following. His stuff is very relatable to anyone who struggles with physical or mental health issues.

    Wrecsam

https://www.sportcal.com/analyst-comment/the-commercial-impact-of-high-profile-north-american-investors-on-wrexham-and-birmingham-city/?cf-view The amounts talked about are pretty modest. The United Airlines deal isn't the massive one I expected. Nor the Delta Airlines one for Birmingham. If we...

Birmingham are said to be on a par with those clubs receiving parachute payments. Quite how they've managed that without the equivalent of Welcome to Wrexham driving things (they have an Amazon Prime doc series in the offing mind) is a mystery. If they can get these fantastic commercial deals...

    Attendance next season

https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/championship/attendances It's amazing how clubs like Plymouth have grown their support by several thousand in comparable relegation seasons. The good news is, if other, similar, clubs can do it, there's clearly an opportunity for us. The aim has to be to fill...

Wales to host opening ceremony of Euro 2028 and six games of tournament

NI were originally in there, but upgrading Casement Park wasn't feasible, so they're no longer co-hosts.

Wales to host opening ceremony of Euro 2028 and six games of tournament

So if England (guaranteed) and Scotland (50 50) qualify from their groups, then Wales and ROI will qualify regardless of how they do in their respective groups. Is this correct?

    Attendance next season

Have we done that badly? We've averaged a mid table position, although the lack of real jeopardy or threatening the playoffs hasn't helped. Yes, the entertainment value hasn't been great, but has it been worse than quite a few of our peers? I doubt it. Clubs that had lower average attendances...

    Attendance next season

Our average gate in 2010/11 was 15,507, literally 4 more than this season's average. We were 16th in the attendance table in 10/11, but 21st this year, only just finishing above Millwall, with Oxford and Luton having limited capacities. We've stood still while other Championship clubs have grown...

catenaccio tactical approach Sheehan seemingly favors

I just don't see us playing with a sweeper at all. Which contemporary team plays that way? Far too much being made of one word on another forum. I see no reason why Sheehan would change a winning formula. Perhaps he'll make minor tweaks, such as a move to a 4-3-3 from the similar 4-1-4-1 that we...

catenaccio tactical approach Sheehan seemingly favors

As long as we maintain an aggressive mid press I don't see people complaining in the same way as under Cooper. But there is a danger that in a bad run we become more negative and drop deeper. How Sheehan deals with poor form, which will inevitably happen at some point, will be interesting to see.

    Ben Mee leaving Brentford

I see us signing an experienced centre half as backup rather than as first choice. Santos may fit the bill, especially as he apparently has a decent long ball. For the player trading model to work you can't have a young up-and-coming centre back, such as Low, sitting on the bench. As long as...

catenaccio tactical approach Sheehan seemingly favors

That's fair enough, although those examples are all against teams who are renowned for their possession heavy tactics. As far as we're concerned we are very much a mid rather than high or low block side. This makes a lot of sense, given how we have a number of very mobile and aggressive...

catenaccio tactical approach Sheehan seemingly favors

I'm not convinced that Liverpool have used a low block. Can you give examples? They've averaged 58 per cent possession, so they still dominate the ball. The biggest difference I see between Sheehan's approach and Williams' is that the latter looked to dominate possession the former looks to...

catenaccio tactical approach Sheehan seemingly favors

Catennacio has a reputation, perhaps unfairly, of being very negative and defensively oriented. If what we've seen so far from Sheehan is anything to go by I see us being a lot more front foot, looking to play as much as possible of the game in the opposition half. Yes, he's tightened things up...

    Lineker Gone

Just reminded myself of the sort of stuff that Andrew Neil has said and done over the years. Lineker's transgressions are trivial in comparison. How on Earth the BBC could employ someone as a political commentator with such extreme right wing views is breathtaking hypocrisy of the first order...

    Lineker Gone

Can we now expect to see the departures of right wing commentators such as Alan Sugar and Andrew Neil from the BBC? It really does seem that those on the left are being held to a different standard to those on the right. Probably because news outlets on the left don't resort to the sort of...

    Ben Mee leaving Brentford

In general the direction of the club is to get in 22 year olds, or thereabouts, with the hope they increase in value with time. That's been made clear. But Sheehan has talked about the value of having experience and balance in the squad, and if there's two positions where that commodity is...
