    The ‘Kim Hellberg’ Managerial Thread

Someone with no knowledge of the situation would think we've been managerless for weeks given the drama on display, rather than the *checks notes* 5 days it's actually been since we sacked Sheehan.

    The ‘Kim Hellberg’ Managerial Thread

Is my memory failing me or did Phil's name actually appear on some betting sites when we were managerless at some point? I have this faint memory of someone on the message boards putting some money on him and there he was on the odds list.

    Favourite ABBA Songs

This is the kind of bah humbug attitude I can get behind. Having worked in retail during my teen years and being subjected to the same 20 or so Christmas songs on loop for weeks, I am most definitely not a fan. To stay on topic, I admire ABBA as they clearly wrote and sang very good pop songs...

    Trump Suing The BBC

We're not claiming to be experts at law, but we've read things from people who are. It's the bare minimum you would expect someone to do if they're going to argue a position on something.

So you think it was a good idea to make that edit? Controversial opinion, but fair enough.

I don't think anyone has ignored the initial question like you claim. Just to make you happy though, yes as far as I'm aware, it would come out of the BBC's pocket, so essentially it would come out of license payers money.

    Trump Suing The BBC

It's a common thing to edit a speech to conflate separate sections of the speech, yes. If you've never noticed that before then I can't help you. The mistake/error of judgement was the inordinately stupid failure to use common methods to make it clear to the viewer that a cut in the speech has...

Yep. Given our history, we should probably be thankful that when we had one of our very occasional world-class players to call on, we actually had good quality players (Allen, Williams, Ramsey, Davies) to play alongside him.

I'm falling out of love with football....

You hit the nail on the head for me with this section: Think of the players who have been most exciting to watch over the years, the likes of Bale, Messi, Ronaldo, Maradona, Best, etc. Even when it comes to the Swans, it's players like Sinclair, Michu, Bony, Leighton James, Dan James and on...

Alright, I'll explain in detail to help Lloyd and Harry out. They made a mistake as in an error of judgement to decide to edit his speech in that way, not a mistake as in the editor tripped and fell on the control panel, causing the edit to happen by accident. Editing a speech to combine...

One stupid mistake by the makers of a Panorama documentary somehow means the whole BBC is a disgrace. People are hilarious.

World Cup Qualifier | The Official Match Thread | Liechtenstein 0 Cymru 1 | 15/11/25 | Rheinpark Stadion, Vaduz

We're in a different league to England when it comes to players. They don't even call up players who would be in our first 11 for every single game. Ivan Toney is playing in a pub league but would be our best player if he was Welsh. Anyway, I predicted an unconvincing 1 or 2 goal win today and...

To be fair to Bellamy, James got his right after we finally scored.

There are similarities to Wales under Bellamy and us under Sheehan. A breath of fresh air at first, playing better football and achieving some great results, then it all stagnates. Now Ampadu and Jordan James have got themselves suspended for Macedonia. Idiots.

World Cup Qualifier | The Official Match Thread | Liechtenstein 0 Cymru 1 | 15/11/25 | Rheinpark Stadion, Vaduz

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but if we're having this much difficulty breaking down a Liechtenstein defence which has conceded 23 goals in 6 games, how likely are we to score against a North Macedonia team which has conceded 3 goals in 7 games?

World Cup Qualifier | The Official Match Thread | Liechtenstein 0 Cymru 1 | 15/11/25 | Rheinpark Stadion, Vaduz

Yeah, my mistake. I initially thought the offside was on the initial cross, not when James headed it back across. To be fair, it's still stretching things to call that a 'clear and obvious error', but it is what it is.

World Cup Qualifier | The Official Match Thread | Liechtenstein 0 Cymru 1 | 15/11/25 | Rheinpark Stadion, Vaduz

Perfect example of why so many hate VAR, disallowing a goal for the most marginal of offsides that had nothing to do with the goal being scored.
