    Inoussa

It's very ungentlemanly though. For several seasons, whenever we've had the ball in a threatening position, we've always had the decency to allow our opponents to get back from our half and the time to reorganise before we decide it's an appropriate time to press forward. It's only fair.

Don't think they did really, they just showed that a bit of effort, guts and desire can get you wins in this division. We didn't actually play well in either game but we showed massive improvements in other aspects of the game which saw us through.

Don't recall seeing much of Cullen for the last 20 of the first half

    Backroom staff

"outsiders with a rudimentary understanding of the language"? That reminds me of something that happened during the club open day in August 2007. There were quite a few tables placed around the offices, changing rooms, concourses, etc for people to chat to the players and for youngsters to get...

Benson's body language reminds me of Renato Sanches. Everything about him says "I don't want to be here".

Overnight M4 closure alerts tonight from 20.00 to 6.00

My Pompey supporting mate was there last night, lives in Axbridge near Cheddar, and it took him 3 hours to get home at 1am. He was also at Charlton on Saturday completing an 8 hour 400 mile round trip to watch 12 minutes of football. I've always admired his dedication but you'd think the last 4...

World Cup 2026 - A General Thread (Includes ‘Hydration’ Break Discussion)

If anyone actually believes the obligatory 3 minute break is for any reason other than selling advertising rights, they are fooling themselves. American football is played as 4 quarters and potential advertisers must have been up in arms and frothing at their mouths about 2 halves so calling...

FA Cup Third Round - Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion

Weston-super-Mare away would do me very nicely! Less that 10 miles from my house 😁 First time WSM have ever reached this stage. I have seen the Swans play there before though, in a friendly in July 2006 :eek::eek:

That's a good point. When we played Pompey at home last season, their left winger Josh Murphy (twin brother of Newcastle's Jacob Murphy) caused us huge problems and I think he scored their first goal iirc. I hope this time we make plans to deal with his threat.
