    Some thoughts after yesterday’s game

Managers look at weeks like this one as blocks of three matches. It’s why the successful teams have bigger and better squads and rise up the table during the grind of the Championship. We’ll see rotation without doubt. It’s Matos’ problem how to do it most effectively.

Where the training grounds are situated is more relevant than where the stadium is. The day job is training hence all those footballers from the big north West clubs living in the Cheshire golden triangle.

We may be two losses from the trap door as you say. I prefer to look at it that we’re two wins from teams that rarely win from the trap door. Two wins that are taking those teams 8 games to get on average. 50 points remains the target.

We don’t need to buy a right back by the looks of it. We’ve got one already at Falkirk. Ward will be fine for the rest of the season, or we could continue to waste Galbraith there.

    Some thoughts after yesterday’s game

It used to be interesting during our Premier League days when the attendance was announced and the Arsenal/Liverpool/Man U etc fans would sneer and then it would stick in their throats when they realised that this little club were handing their arses to them on the pitch.

    Some thoughts after yesterday’s game

You're right about the RB situation. Galbraith is wasted there and he wanders into midfield too much and gets caught out of position. When the ball was played out wide for their goal he was scurrying back and across to where he should have been and as a result didn't come close to cutting out...

Entertaining evening. Could easily have won and could easily have lost. How did Ronald hit the woodwork when it was so much easier to score? How did Fulton get that tackle in that denied them a certain goal? I thought we ran out of steam and the press was half hearted from 50 minutes on. I...

There’s a reason why Swansea City don’t employ a manager. It goes to player recruitment and the minimal say that the head coach has in player acquisitions. Blaming the head coach for recruitment is nonsense. He is involved in identifying positions and the type of player that the squad needs and...

You think Sheehan decides on players coming in? That's not the way the club has worked since Laudrup left.
