    Alan Sheehan.

I would just like to see us improve our attacking output to be honest, and start getting into the opposition box, that would surely boost the entertainment factor. Although, I think it’s more of a case of we need to improve and score more goals to get points and to be competitive rather than...

    Alan Sheehan.

I’m surprised there are people who are happy with the current output of the team to be honest. We hardly enter the opposition box in games. We don’t look a threatening side at all. Some may call it entitlement but for me it’s genuine concern. We’re currently on course for 46 goals in 46 games...

Goals conceded look respectable but we don’t half give up some chances for the little we create. XG conceded we’re just in the bottom half and Vigs has made the 4th most saves in the league and makes about 3 per match. What I mean is, while our defence may not be completely disastrous, it’s...

We may be solid midtable at the moment but we’re down the bottom end for every attacking metric this season and not creating any chances. If we were defensively solid we could at least coast on that but we’re not that either. Carry on this way and we’ll be bottom half soon enough. The lack of...

The only good attacking performance we’ve had in 10 games was the second half away at Sheff Wed. Whatever we want to say about Sheehan, that’s not good for any side at any level. Seen Vital say on Twitter that we need to be ultra clinical to win a game this season and I can’t put it any better...

Sheehan had success last year with a press focused style, but the truth is, there seems to be very little about it other than that to me. If we’d bought a replacement for O’Brien it might have had a chance but as it is, none of the midfielders we’ve bought seem comfortable playing this way.

    Less entitlement and more encouragement

https://t.co/kqaVWxrv32 An interesting article looking at us tactically against Leicester. A few shots where you can see that massive gap in midfield, hopefully it’s something we can address moving forward.

    Stamenic

In his first couple of games, he played one or two defence splitting passes and has continued to play cross field balls with high accuracy. I was watching him the other day and I think he sometimes chooses to pass the ball when he could carry it up the pitch a bit more. If he takes the...

The only midfielder we have of his kind in the squad. I think he’s very important to us. His weight of pass is excellent, we haven’t seen the best of him yet either

    Less entitlement and more encouragement

Again, it isn’t that I think we have the right, I wasn’t expecting a lot from yesterday for example although I thought a point was doable. I want us to at least try though. What’s the point if you aren’t going to try to attack the other team in any meaningful way? I actually don’t think what...

    Less entitlement and more encouragement

I don’t see how previous managers come into this to be honest. If we just look at what we’re doing this season, yes we are in games but we are never in control of games. I thought we improved a little bit yesterday in terms of shots on goal even though they weren’t challenging the keeper at all...

    Less entitlement and more encouragement

I find this thread interesting because I never see fan critique as entitlement. Let me be clear there are entitled fans, of every club. The ones who expect to win every game, but that isn’t what I’m seeing on this forum. The people who are expressing doubts about Sheehan don’t seem to have an...

I don’t quite understand what the problem is with giving your negative opinion on an internet forum as long as it isn’t libellous and you can give a reason for it which I think most people do. Are we not allowed to show concern at all? If someone has legitimate concerns about the team this...

    Another gutless performance

I’m of the opinion now that O’Brien is one of the reasons for that difference. When we try and press now we are nowhere near as effective although having Franco today did help. I haven’t checked but I’d be willing to bet we won the ball in the final third a lot more last season than we have so...

Took his pen calmly. I’ve found it difficult to form an opinion on him because whenever I’ve seen him, we’ve not been in control of a game so haven’t given him many opportunities.

    Another gutless performance

I’m not one to moan when the ball goes back at times as I don’t mind patient build up play but when you’re literally in the opposition box, the ball should never be leaving there unless cleared by a defender. You can’t beat the press and then unbeat it.

I would say the first part is right, didn’t utterly disgrace ourselves at all but still underwhelming in an attacking sense. Leicester certainly up there squad wise but had drawn against a couple of sides in and around our level recently, disappointing we didn’t manage to get something.

    Another gutless performance

I wouldn’t say gutless but the indecisiveness around the opposition box is a big problem for us at the moment, especially considering we only seem to attack down the wings this season. It just seems to stop as soon as we get to the final third. We’re second bottom for touches in the opposition...

    Stamenic

I think he often gets left with too much work to do as a single pivot, needs a bit more support in midfield. On the ball he is brilliant for me, lovely ball over the top for the penalty. Young player who is still getting used to the level but has undeniable quality.

Needs a rest I think, like Ronald, starts almost every game and that can take its toll sometimes in the championship. Put Galbraith in against Southampton, think he’ll be better for it.
