Judging by the activity on this thread I thought our new boy Walta had assaulted someone.

All that you've said makes complete sense, but I do wonder about one thing. Would Walta's situation not make sense in terms of PSR if we knew that there was increased revenue coming next season that would offset his fee (the pro-rated portion)? For example, obviously with PSR there's a loss...

You're not wrong, but I get the sense that Walta would be another who could contribute in the false 9 or shadow striker type role where he could provide an option for the press. He scored 16 in 30 last season.

Most definitely. I would again argue that, after money, proximity to family/friends would generally likely come next. I don't think nightlife and shopping are that important to most footballers. And, as someone said earlier, if it is we don't want them anyways.
