• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

If his attitude has gone, then get rid.
If he's not in the team, you'd hope he'd get his head down, train hard & try to get back in the team.
Hasn't really happened for him unfortunately.

What’s the most run he’s had in the team? I can’t remember seeing him starting back to back a lot, could be wrong but the coaches all see him in training and he’s probably not showing enough commitment and effort.

I gave him a fair crack of the whip and also spoke in his favour when others were raising concerns. What ever pluses he has, and its been occasionally evident he has some talent, they dont appear to mesh with his role in our set up. If we could take the best of Cullen(Another who is on the bubble) and VIP, and somehow make a functioning human, we might have a diamond. As it is we have two lumps of coal.

Lets be honest, if Bordeaux hadn't gone belly up, it's highly unlikely we would have signed him. It felt at the time like a spur of the moment signing rather than one that had been planned and well scouted, and he's done little to convince in the 12 months since that he either suits us, or is able to step up at this level over a prolonged period.

Sell.

That's incredibly harsh on Cullen

So he played 20 odd minutes against Boro and zero minutes against SU last week and he’s not happy?

In other news water is wet.
We get this a lot with our fans. I’m not sure if it’s just us or if other clubs’ fans love to slate their players. Truth is we’ve seen literally nothing of Vip with the last couple of managers having other preferences, and that just leads to the usual rubbish about them being shite, a wrong’un, or both, etc, etc….. ad nauseam. It’s a load of tedious bollocks as he obviously has something about him and they can’t all have bad attitudes. The fault lies with the club, either for bringing in the wrong player or not knowing how to manage them.

Yet if he was playing for Empoli they'd be clamouring for us to spunk £5m on him

46 appearances but “we’ve seen literally nothing of Vip”.

Right.
