Fair play to you for not choking on your words given how harsh you were on him
I was never harsh on him. Until recently he couldn't hit a barn door. Most people observed the same.

It's great he's picked up recently, I hope he keeps it going for the rest of the season. That goal last night was his best goal for us imo. Subtle and clever.

The big test will be when he stops scoring again. Not trying to he negative. He has done an amazing job and I have tried to be his biggest supporter since he joined and was slowly losing hope and pretty much gave up. Sheehan mentioned a few weeks ago how he knew Vipotnik had something and told him he needs more to be more aggressive in his play. Also, Its gone under the radar a bit how Sheehan has transformed him. He publicly told him that Cullen was the striker and then with links to new strikers coming in he stepped up. Nearly all his goals so far have been worldly. So I can only see him getting better. He has to be aiming for at least 15 this season now.

It's becoming increasingly obvious that Andy Fisher's biggest problem was Russell Martin.

When asked to play in a straightforward way instead of a suicidally stupid one he's proven himself to be a capable keeper, both here and when out on loan. Kept us in the game against Plymouth, made a save arguably as important as a goal last night.

Don't think it would hurt for more people to maybe recognise that.
With respect Andy Fisher’s biggest problem is his lack of command of his penalty area.

For me Fisher still is not up to it. That first goal he should of saved last night. For me if is no starter and OK a back up. But that's it. Many will disagree which is fine. But does not command like Vig

I'm glad Fisher is our backup rather than our number 1, but I do think people are more critical of him because of his initial stint our Martin. I don't think anyone says anything negative about it if Vigouroux does exactly what Fisher did for their first goal.

I understand that. But Fisher has shown that he cannot control anything. He is good with his feet but his decision making is questionable and its like watching him slide around in butter sometimes.

Anybody think Eom should play the Widdel role or is the Swede the better option more centrally?
Widell is slowly getting used to the frenzied at times pace of the EFL and from his arrival from the bench v Forest I believe he is going to develop into another shrewd signing.
What I like about him is that he possesses pace, likes a tackle and doesn't shirk from the physical side of the game. A scrapper in midfield alongside Franco, he is getting more and more comfortable on the ball, the giving and taking of a pass and I am really confident that he will strengthen the squad.
Really looking forward to his development over the next couple of months.
