That was turgid stuff. Have come home and sat in silence at the kitchen table with a cold beer and can only now bring myself to read this thread, BBC, etc.

I wasn't so upbeat after Saturday, yes we stroked some nice passes around but Hull sat back and let us do it. Millwall also didn't offer much tonight and our ability to stroke passes around was not evident. Two home games, zero goals and all this after two weeks of largely uninterrupted time with the squad.

Hamer was my MoM. Nobody else came close.

I can only face it now. 10 lively minutes at the start and 10 lively minutes at the end when Obafemi came on giving Piroe a bit of support and we started going long. The rest was so damned slow and static. Little different to last year in that respect.

Those 2 advance midfielders aren't working for me. Both seem to want to drift wide meaning we've got 2 defensive mids and a massive hole in front of them before a very isolated Piroe. No wonder we can't get the ball forward, there are 0 options and we don't move the ball quickly enough to make overloads on the wings. Hull and now Millwall just had to stand pretty still, mark tight and hold their shape to completely shut us down. It was the same in the earlier games too - nobody has been able to impose themselves on the game from those AM positions - they offer very little (although Ntcham did look lively first half against Hull).

The positive is we've not looked in danger much, although I expect a teams that presses us high and has some quality will rip us a new one.

Two deep lying CM’s in front of three CB’s when at home to teams like Hull and Millwall, is not what I want to see.

Thought Milwall looked more likely to finish stronger

Still pining because your shithouse hero jumped ship as soon as the going got tough then?

At least we have someone that chose to be here rather than ran away, whether it works or not. A yellow bellied snake, letting his club down, just like you,

Cue “I’m not..”
NIce of you to get personal and refrain form reasoned arguement.
If you think what we have seen at home for the last two matches is better than last season thenyou obviously have no idea.
Interestingly it appears that we currently have two managers on the payroll as MR Cooper didnt quit, and is curretnly recieving £10K per month.
So yet more myth..it seems the club were going to sack him so please retract your statements

Jeez we're still in September, in my mind I was hoping to see signs of improvement October onwards
Everyone says theyre expecting a middle table rebuild this year then lose their minds when we dominate 2 games but dont score
Listen to Guardiola, he says his job is to get the ball into the final 3rd as often as possible and then its up to the players to score, Ive seen signs we're doing that, but a lack of confidence, fitness and cohession is letting us down atm but itll click soon so have some faith

Isnt easy being right all the time
1 point off play offs if score stays the same
