No shame. Rooney raging at the officials. He should be made to watch what his team got away with today and made to publicly apologise to the officials, the granny-shagging prick.

Anyway, great to see the current run of results continue.

3 moments of madness stopped this being an absolute walkover for us. 2 from the ref and 1 from Fisher.

Win our game in hand and we’ll be (effectively with rubbish gd) 6 points behind playoffs with 5 games to go. Unlikely but….

Another win and up to 13th
What a crap ref. Both teams won’t be happy with him

That's a thought....

Well that's what we've been searching for all season; points from 3 games in a week.

To be honest I feel like we played the entire second in second gear. Quite a comprehensive performance.

It's astounding that without the points deduction there would be 4/5 worse teams than Derby. It didn't feel like they were actually going for it until stoppage time. Even when their keeper came up for the corner it felt almost apologetic.

That was a nervy match, good thing there wasn't much riding on it. My personal ratings:

Fisher - 6
He gave Derby a route back into the game with a ridiculous decision to come for a ball over the top that he should have left to the defender. Did well to stop the ball looping over him at the end immediately before the Derby penalty shout. Distribution overall was better than midweek, could still improve though.

Cabango - 8
Really looks like he has turned a corner after a really patchy couple of months. Dependable, dominated in the air and overall good distribution from the back.

Naughton - 8
Can't really say much more than a performance to his usual exceptional standards this season.

Latibeaudiere - 7
Same as Cabango he really looks like he is making that position his own at the moment. Was given a real test by the Derby winger but won his battles more often than not.

Wolf - 9
One of three candidates for Man of the Match for me. His battle with the Derby winger was a really good one and showed that his defensive side of the game is sound. Great assist for the first goal and exceptionally unlucky to hit the crossbar after some amazing close control. Looked incredibly dangerous, seems like a different player after finally getting his first goal.

Christie - 7
Usual high energy performance, his decision making in the final third when he gets into really dangerous positions needs to improve though.

Grimes - 7
Dependable and always made himself available for the ball. Sometimes I felt he was too guilty of turning back into the defence rather than turning into space and subsequently slowing down the tempo of the game.

Fulton - 9
Phenomenal game from him considering this was just his second start in about 6 months. Always made himself available, set up the triangles needed to help play out from the back and his one touch football at times was a joy to watch. Some fantastic long passes over the top, cross field balls and showed the skill as well as the vision to pull them off. My man of the match for this one.

Paterson - 7
Showing an ever improving understanding down the left with Wolf some of their linkup play and movement was causing real problems for Derby. That said he never quite felt like his usually dangerous attacking self, quite how the ref didn't blow up for a foul when he charged down Allsop's flick is a mystery.

Piroe - 9
Two chances two goals. Piroe is probably the most lethal finisher I have seen since Michu and definitely feels like he has echoes of Ruud van Nistelrooy in him. Can't really give him much greater praise than that. 20 goals for the season and counting, an absolute bargain at £1m and makes JvZ look like an absolute muppet.

Obafemi - 8
Worked hard, made plenty of runs which unfortunately never quite came off. Really looks like he is enjoying his football now though. I feel like next season is gonna be a huge one for him.

Ntcham - 7
Came on for last 20 mins or so, some great linkup play with Wolf but seemed to lose grip on the midfield in the last 5-10 mins or so. Had one great chance which he sliced just outside the 6 yard box.

Smith - 7
Lots of running, made some intelligent runs but as usual shows for me that he is not cut out for attacking roles where RM mystifyingly keeps putting him.

Joseph - N/A
Don't think he got to touch the ball in the 20 seconds or so he was on the pitch.

Martin - 7
Keeping faith with the same lineup (except for Pato coming back into the team) paid dividends. Felt that he made the wrong substitutions for the second and third sub, pulling off all our creative attacking players just encouraged Derby to keep coming at us.

Referee - 2
So many mystifying decisions from him that I couldn't help but wonder if he had been paid off by someone. The penalty shout was an obvious one but refs only get one look at it so I could almost forgive him for that. Why he didn't blow up for Allsop blocking off Paterson after he had charged down his pass however only he can answer, should have been an easy foul and red card which would have killed off the game from the 30th or so minute. Only reason he doesn't have a 1 here is that he seemed to even things up not giving a very strong penalty shout in my eyes in stoppage time to Derby.

Not much I can disagree with there, so I won't. I've watched the Allsopp/Paterson incident several times now and I cannot for the life of me see how any possible interpretation of that cannot end in the referee giving a free kick and a red card. If ever there was a textbook denial of a goal scoring opportunity, this was it.

Ref was appalling, was it him that cheated us at Fulham few yrs back? Special mention to Wolfie, he was fantastic today. We've got goals from everywhere atm, just keep this going for a few weeks and who knows eh !!

Remember this ref done our game at Fulham a few years ago and gave everything to Fulham, there was chatter that every Fulham game he reffed he gave some dodgy decisions against the opposition team.
