Raising Attendances

It takes generations to build up a fanbase like Derby, Shef Weds, WBA etc have. Decades in the top-flight.

Out of 113 years as a club, we've had 2 spells in the top division, one just 2 seasons, the other 7. so about 4-5 top-flight seasons where the feeling was positive.

Our 'hardcore' used to be around 3000-4000 before we climbed back up a the divisions to get to the Prem. I remember seeing attendances of 3800 and thinking 'oooh, good crowd today..'

We've probably picked up more since then, but it wouldn't surprise me to see us drop down to 6-7000 if we drop down to league 1.

As has been pointed out, get a good team winning games and everything else at a football club magically fixes itself, from attendances to commercial growth/finances. That's where all the focus needs to be.

I definitely used t think of 3500 as ok and 5000 as healthy.

Still remember the North bank as it was before they put the boards up. It was a beast of a place when the ground was full in the old First Division.
In those days I needed glasses (don't now...weird) and when we scored they were knocked off once. I ended up about 50 yards away from where I started so no chance of seeing them again. Great, great days.

Nobody’s coming to a game just because the food is better. Loads of people will come if the football’s better.
Never under estimate the power of unbelievably good food.
the way to a man's heart is through his belly and all that.

If I was persuading my other half to join me at the football and there was special, exquisite local grub on offer I know she would come. It's the way of the world if it's in NottingHill, TownHill or EdgeHill.

I reckon if local boys The Welsh House did a collab we would all be quids in, win win.
