I had a quick look at the Coventry Forum tonight after their play off loss. This comment struck a chord with me 😊 -

"I know I’m in the minority here, but Grimes ain’t all that. He’s great on the ball, he just receives it way too deep and is not adventurous enough.
Receiving the ball deeper than the CB’s against a low block and then slowing it down is mental"

They're getting there. The number of them who think like that will increase over time.

The dawn of realisation. It’s a horrible feeling.
 
Grimes could have done so much more in his career. Not a stand out individual but what he does with the ball, he does it well and holds onto it.

If football didn't have goals then he would be up there as one of the best.
He doesn't create enough going forward and invites problems for his defenders and goalkeeper.

Yet Lampard is full of praise for him according to an article floating around....best bit of business we did selling him.
