15 pages and counting on the beigest player ever to wear the shirt.

Yup, it's the off-season alright.

Might start a new thread on the merits of stats vs eyeballs.....

God, I hate the off season!

At least I have Metz to keep me going on Saturday in the French League 2 play off semis against Dunkerque, and if they win that, the peculiar French system means the final is against the third worst team in League 1.

And of course, there are all the English play off matches to look forward to, not to mention all the European finals.

Didn’t that happen over here one time or have I imagined it? Winner of the relegation team played the winner of the best next placed of the team below. Or something like that.

Never in EFL, happens in Scotland & Germany.

Happened prior to the Premier league being formed. Remember one year Charlton had finished near bottom of old 1st Division and Leeds had finished in one of the play off places in the old 2nd Division, along with Ipswich and Oldham. Charlton beat Ipswich and Leeds beat Oldham with Charlton beating Leeds to retain their place in the old 1st Division.

I always thought that was a really good idea. Earn your place properly. It stops teams like Cardiff who will just get relegated pretending to be a PL team. We, of course would have sailed through 🫢

Thank you.

Not as fun as the guy who doesn't know the difference between a hoof into touch and a completed pass - they are generally hilarious.
Into touch? Who said anything about touch. I’d pay good money to anyone to tell killer his pass wasn’t complete, accurate and of huge value to the team if only the lazy winger would move his arse.

Coventrys new captain
I did see. I laughed when I saw it. And reminded me how happy I am that he is not with us anymore. His Wife must be a wiz with her WhatsApp group chats. She was praised for helping new players, well both of them for welcoming new players. It's the only thing he did contribute too. He didn't on the pitch 😛😛
