We beat Blackburn 2-1. Leicester beat us 3-1. Blackburn are beating Leicester 2-0 away from home. Wrexham beat Coventry 3-2. Etc, etc…

Despite all the hype and '5th best league in the world' talk, those familiar with it know it would be better marketed as a madhouse. It's the netherworld between the elite league and the lower leagues. Not quite one, not quite the other. Liminal football.

Sheffield United, Leicester, Southampton and Norwich all got convincingly beaten at home today, West Brom only managed a 0-0 at home to doomed Sheffield Wednesday. All of those are traditional Championship heavyweights. Three of them are struggling really badly this season.

The league is tough. The margins are slim. We're as competitive as anyone. I don't get the moaners who think we have a divine right to be winning games. If much bigger clubs than us are finding it hard, then it tells you everything you need to know.
