He may be our top scorer and have a great shot but if he thinks he can make the premier league he’s mistaken. Too slow and often lacking application. I hope with injuries he can continue his goal scoring but general play really needs to improve.

I’m not pessimistic at all and always encourage the players and im delighted for him with his goals but think he could improve his game so much more. For a big lad he is nearly always beaten in the air when we play an out ball. I fully admit that I’m probably in a minority of one. All opinions-mine based on over 40 years of following The Swans.

Most fail when being a top Championship striker to a bit part player in the Premiership. Watkins and Rogers are two at Villa who are a few who have made it. Here alone McBurnie, Piroe and Brewster struggled for goals.

Pathetic isn't it. Fantastic today, 5 wins in 7 (?) and still a post to moan. Utterly pathetic
It's not "pathetic", it's a perfectly valid opinion from someone who has been watching the Swans 40+ years, if they want to hold an opinion different to yours, that's perfectly acceptable.

If you ask me the biggest problem with this site at times is groupthink wankers trying to bully people who don't agree with them.

Sorry if that's "pathetic".

Was thinking of Piroe who is a more technical player than Vipi but also lacks pace. Brewster been unlucky with injuries.

Delighted to win today with a workmanlike performance, but too little creativity today, overcome with a stunning Fulton strike and great work by Vigs

I have to agree

Other people can have opinions different to yours, that doesn't necessarily make them wrong or "pathetic" - different people notice and miss different things after all.

Last season Vipotnik's overall game was extremely poor, his hold up play and pressing was non existent and despite bagging goals there wasn't much else he seemed to have going for him. This season he has improved on those other aspects of his game, people forget that he is still just 23.

Last summer he was made redundant and got a job that suddenly forced him to move to another country on very short notice where he knew nobody. That would be a huge issue for many 22 year olds.

Very fair point about his age and readjustment to life in the UK.

Very true. There’s players that regularly scored 20+ goals at this level that struggled to get near double figures in the PL

Looking back we did very well to get Danny Graham (think he got 12 league goals?) in that first season. Be interested to know how many centre forwards since then have scored 10+ in their first season coming up from the championship - count them on 1 hand I’d imagine?
