35 years ago today

Must have been horrific to go through. Life changing and a long, slow painful recovery process I imagine. Says a lot that you’ve come through it with your sense of humour intact.

Weird side effect that you’ve been unable to cut or wash your hair for 35 years since though.

Did you have a word with the newspaper for spelling your name wrong.

Well done to them for spelling your name correctly

The paper got it right. Prosser keeps spelling it wrong.

Prick.

Dar, I have never met you.
But I've got to know you after being on here for donkeys of years.
At first I knew naff all about you and Llangy and ECB used to egg me on to wind you up, easily led I was by those scalliwags.

It took the common sense of Max to realise you are a bit of a legend and a magnificent family man whose love and knowledge of music is absolutely incredible and second to none.
Your love of the Swans is also obviously beyond words.
On this, the same day in 1965 my Mum and Dad got married in Penclawdd, and then had their reception at the Worm's Head Hotel.

Via PM you have helped answer any query I have especially those that involvey eccentric 81 yr old father (who loved last Saturday despite the result!!!!)
I hope you have had a pleasant day despite how significant/poignant it is.

I want to use humour as a wind up Darran in a PS manner but can't make light of the tragedy. It must have been absolutely horrendous.

I can remember my mother telling me about the incident, how you’d been injured and taken to hospital. The incident shocked us and and the wider Baglan community, my parents knew your mum and dad very well and were very upset.

As has been said, it’s unimaginable what you’ve gone through and the pain you must have suffered. You’re immensely courageous and have shown real character and bravery - plenty of people would have succumbed in the face of the challenges you’ve beaten. I can’t imagine what your family must have gone through following that dreadful incident.

Despite everything, you don’t let things get you down, you’ve got a great sense of humour and you do some fantastic work on the Facebook group which lets of people rally appreciate.
- keep up the good work.

Take care and look after yourself and your family.

You was very lucky Dazzer, the injuries you suffered though were shocking, you've done very well to have recovered as well as you have, the love and support of a good woman has helped god bless her.

That’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me.

It's nice to see him being nice to you for a change, he had a terrible cob on on the weekend, right miserable bugger he was and I was only joshing with him, ah well like I said nice to see Max being nice to you, again great that you survived such an horrific incident which means i get to know you and call you friend and your a lovely man :D

I was thinking, perhaps you or your lovely wife could write a book which could touch on this incident?

:clap_tone3: Bravo

As some have said, the pain you must have gone through was surely off the scale. And whilst you piss a few off, I'm personally glad you are who you are. Never change Daz, never know may meet you one day.

Was that Penrhiwtyn ? Mr P

If so, that's where I was born - a few years before though.

Shame they couldn't do anything about your dress sense.

Seriously though you've been through a lot and still have some humour.

Keep smiling and fighting.

Yes Sir.
I was also born there but that was obviously many years after you.

No chance of being mixed after birth then 😀
