Trouble is Watford are already 6 points ahead of us 5 wins and a couple of draws would only give us a gap of 11points. Hence 4 wins would be enough for them our game against them may still have something on it.

This stage last season we were 7 points behind Forest and didn't have a game in hand.

Looking at our run in I can't see us winning more than 5 of our 9. On that basis Watford despite a tough set of fixtures Would only need 4 wins and perhaps a couple of draws to put us out of contention. Our current form would suggest less wins but hey let's keep everthing crossed.

Every one of those games is winnable,, its likely we'll drop some points along the way, but its also not impossible we could win all 5 on the bounce.

Watford's 4 games over the same period are:

Luton A (local derby)
Norwich A

Not inconceivable that they dont win a single game.

If you offered me the chance to go into our final game 2 points behind Watford, I'd take it now.

We've not bottled automatic promotion it's just that on current form we simply aren't good enough for automatic promotion.. That's a fact. If we get better then we could be good enough but will we improve to the standard required that's the question.
