Thanks, even thought I really don't need you to tell me that.
That is correct just as I don't need to be told that my initial view on him is wrong.

I wouldn't say that I think Idah is a worry if I wasn't confident in my initial judgement. I look for the smallest of signs in my initial judgements in players and not seen anything yet to peak my interest.

As it goes, I have seen something in all our summer signings who have played since the start of the season aside from Idah. That's quite a good %.

I understand you are one of those fans who doesn't want to hear things bad about the team or players, I had a discussion the other week with a fan who had a pop at me because I had a go at Cullen for being offside for a 4th time before it was even half time.
You are not totally bald, sit right by the wall by the walk up(stairs)to the left of the east stand are you 🤣?

Celtic fans observations weren't based on expectations. In fact they probably didn't expect much from him at all such was his modest record at Norwich. Their assessment was based on what they actually watched.

Everything's relative. Galbraith cost far less, but in reality was he really playing against a lower standard of player that often than what Idah was on a regular basis? Doubt it.
Celtic paid 9.5 million for him. If you knew half as much about Celtic as you profess you'd understand that's a hefty fee which comes with a lot of expectations.

Comparing Galbraith with Idah is like comparing oranges and apples.

We'll park this conversation for now and you can me I was right come the end of May.

I've said that celtic were also mad for paying that. And sadly thats also the reason why we've also had to pay over the odds as well unfortunately.

The comparison is valid - its based on fans opinion not the actual players themselves. Orient were complimentary Celtic were not.

Oh you want longer than 6 months for him to come good now do you?

A good point in comparison of lower league to Scottish premiership would be Sam Dalby. He struggled for goals in L2 and National league and scored more goals than Idah in the league last season. I can certainly see at this stage why Idah was allowed to leave Celtic at a loss.

I firmly believe that Galbraith would be classed as a gem if he was playing for Celtic.

Celtic paid over the odds yes, so did we with Yates and many more, carry on throwing Idah under the bus, just like you will with Vipotnik again when he goes a few games without scoring. Fucking pathetic.

How many Celtic fans have you heard from?
I've read plenty and a family member on my wife's side is a Celtic season ticket holder and he was quite glad that he left and was very apologetic that he joined Swansea.

I'm going to keep hope Jaxs but I'm going to stick with my initial thoughts here. I hope I am wrong because it means he is doing the business but my concerns are high at this moment in time.

Well contrast to Bobby Wales. Was playing in a worse team in Scotland and is much younger and cost a fraction. That's the type of player I could understand being overawed and anonymous in their early games. But hes done better.

Wales has had 1 minute off the bench against Sheffield United, so no evidence there on if he's a good signing, plus 26 minutes against Crawley Town in which he scored. I'm glad he scored on his debut and hope he becomes a good player for us but a goal against a lower division team in the EFL Cup isn't much to get excited about. Dan Williams scored against Plymouth in the same competition a few years back and these days he's playing for New Saints.

Idah had 79 minutes against Nottingham Forest, plus 26 minutes against Hull and 16 minutes against Birmingham. So a pretty massive discrepancy in the quality of the teams faced and the match situations each player played in.

Plus Wales arrived in the summer and had plenty of time with the team, while Idah arrived right at the end of the window. Wales also arrived with zero expectation, while Idah is not in the same boat, as can clearly be seen by this thread.

No one knows how Idah is going to do for us long term and you would have thought seeing Vipotnik's improvement would mean people learn a lesson, but clearly it's not going to happen. The rush to condemn him for a transfer fee which is both out of his control and purely speculation and write him off based on extremely limited minutes is fucking weird.

I criticised the Yates signing too. This isn't personal to Idah, he didn't tell the swans to spend this much on him.

Vipotnik still needs to prove himself too. He's had a great run, let's see if he can sustain it.

You support Celtic aswell don't you?

What is the view of him up there from your experience?
