• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

He’s scored Champions League level goals. He’s massive, he’s quick and he’s strong. He will score goals, just needs a run of games and confidence to flow which will come when Vipotniks form drops. I remember Idah gave Villa an awful time in the CL at Villa Park.

What I don't really get, is that you are the one that has been grating on ad nauseum .new striker, new striker', 'striker', 'striker', 'striker' forever, more than anyone else on the planet, right up to deadline day.. Now we've bought one, you've made your mind up he's crap before he's played a single whole game after a couple of weeks at a new club.

I'm not saying he'll be good or bad, and I don't know if he'd have been top of my shopping list (I guess Haaland and Mbappe turned us down), but to paint yourself into a corner and 'hope you're wrong' at this stage seems a bit bizarre.
It's a joke.

They've written this lad off before he's kicked a ball for the team.

Makes me wonder how they aren't heading up the global scouting network for the likes of Bayern or Barca.

Watched Norwich week in week out did you?

Give the lad at least six months in a Swans shirt before writing him off.
No, but plenty of Norwich and Celtic fans who watch him do say the same.

6 months!? That's the old Russell Martin nonsense. Im sorry if Swansea City are signing 6mil strikers in the second division, we reality need them contributing from the start, not half a season down the line!

I can't wait to watch a few on here start eating humble pie.

Well contrast to Bobby Wales. Was playing in a worse team in Scotland and is much younger and cost a fraction. That's the type of player I could understand being overawed and anonymous in their early games. But hes done better.
Now, I have seen something in him to be hopeful.

Contributing from the start?! He's played 120 odd minutes for us.

That's ok though, we'll just base our judgement from a few throw away comments from Norwich and Celtic supporters we've read on the internet.

Be honest, its more than a few throw away comments from both sets of those fans. It was pretty much a consensus. Both were happy to be see him go. Plus as I've said and you're conveniently ignoring hes looked clumsy whenever I saw him play, and he still does.

I understand your points that you make about Idah and myself.
I'm going to back my initial thought in his 3 appearances for us and not afraid to put my head on the block with this one. I haven't seen anything yet to give me any encouragement that we will have a player to the level we are hoping for.......I'm hoping that it's down to fitness and again it might be the case from what I have witnessed.
Hands on knees after 15/20mins at home to Watford was a visual that stood out for me.

I know it's easy to paint a picture and for posters to get sucked into it but there was certainly more posters calling for a striker this summer window than myself.

Very few Celtic fans have been complimentary about him and still not heard or read a Norwich fan say anything decent about him.

General consensus. It's not like fans to slag players off.

I haven't ignored anything at all. I suggest you temper your expectations.

OK contrast to Galbraith - how many Orient fans did you see slagging him off when he joined us?
