• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Basically, I'd prefer a robust track record of success rather than vibes to base lucrative promotions within the club on.

Seems a rational plan? And ironically, a data lead ethos.....
I would be of the same feeling and it's just seems that they are trying to hard to justify something with no real success to back it up.
It seems a plan that they are backing and sticking with, hopefully it comes to fruition but it seems a bit strange to go so all in and praise/reward with very little to back it up(at this stage).

Interesting that Hellberg was his man as well. There were a lot of assumptions on here that he was a Montague pick

Who said Hellberg was his man?
The planetswans article

"He is also understood to have been the key driver in identifying both Vitor Matos and Kim Hellberg, showing that his influence extends far beyond just playing staff."

Yes I’m sure they are using “vibes” as the safest bet to bring success.

I think we saw yesterday Stamenic is going to be a success here to go alongside Galbraith, and this team, Widdell also. Criminal how Sheehan maligned yalcouye too.

You’re going to be a disappointed young man Daps, bookmark it

You replied to a post by Cinio there Risc, wasn't my post.

I sincerely hope you are correct because I currently have a disappointed young man in my house(my 11yr old) who is very disappointed with the season so far. I would love to tell him that it won't last and it will improve but I can't be sure of that myself although I have hope that it will.

Stamenic looks as if he"ll be an asset , and hopefully get even better, just like the others, but he looks like he has a bt of Fer and Bartley in him......prone to the odd booking.
I kibe the projection of success ,especially as we are 5th from bottom and played a game more than one of them data says we should come away with something yesterday, but we didnt, thats football.

we are all fans and hope for the best , and hope that your projection is correct, as for bookmarking i should imagine a few have.

Stamanic = success, better than what we had last season in his role and looks to be getting better

Galbraith = success, better than what we had last season in midfield and RB. Better then anyone else on the team

Yalcoua = unsure but when he comes on he looks far better than Franco. Does not have the trust of the managers though, could be a huge success but after what he was built up to be it feels a flop

Innousa = partial success, I think once he settles he’s better than any of our wingers

Idah = unsure, better than Cullen up top for holding the ball up etc but looks lazy. Jury is out.

Wales - unsure, I like him and he looks good when he plays. Young though and needs time and opportunity’s or loan to league 1

Burgess = unsure, thought he looked great at start and what a coup. But he’s dangerous in our own box and has a few terrible passes to them a game.

Casey = success and solid but not had much time

Samuel’s smith as above

Benson = dreadful

Only my opinion and I respect that others will completely disagree with me but that’s how I’ve seen the signings.

Agree with this. With regard to Idah, I mean hes not had much game time but even if you watch him in the pre and half time warm up, he looks totally uninterested and lethargic. Minimum effort and he stands out because of it. We make a point of watching him now.

I do think he has skill. More so than Vipi but he lacks his fight and passion which can make a huge difference.

He could be an asset. Needs a rocket up his ass though in my opinion. Jury also out for me.

Yea I certainly hope so, and if the large outlay we paid out manifests itself in consistent performances that's when the recruitment team should be rewarded in my opinion.
