I'll be first one to say no. A nice no that is. 😝😝. If we want to grow and stop ending up below par, we need more ambition in our coaching set up. Sheehan has stepped in and helped the sinking ship, but long term he is not the answer. Also anyone who says the players like him and want him to stay, I say to that. Grimes and Co said same with Williams and look how that turned out.

yes absolutely, what else do you think our options are? push for the prem? no chance, aint happening for a long time.
Sheehan is the man for a season or two until we decide as a club what the hell we think we are doing.

ECB called it on the day that Williams was sacked and he's going to be right.

Wasn't the same thins said with Williams, Duff etc. We don't expect to be top of the league next season, but let's set our sights higher than having a filler role. Let's get an exciting and fresh thinking coach in. Other wise we are just gonna end up in league one at some point.

Wait and see how the remainder of the season goes. We have the luxury of not having to make a decision now.

Personally I think there are 2 questionable mindsets going around right now:

1) Decided weeks ago that under no circumstances should he get the job. Boneheaded. Needlessly closed off to how Sheehan does in the role.

2) Flip-flop week to week based on immediate stimuli of the last game. Nailed on after Leeds, never in a million years after today.
Can’t make long term decisions like that.

Just see how it goes until May. See where we are with Sheehan, see what candidates are available. Talk it though; make a choice. Sensible, pragmatic.
