I think you do our recruitment team a disservice. Ronald, Franco, Vigouroux, Eom and Widely wouldn't have been recruited without a sophisticated recruitment methodology.
I don't claim to know what Sheehan's thinking is, other than he clearly likes to play the game in the opposition half. Today, as against Blackburn, we had less than 50 per cent possession, but completed more passes than our opponent in their half than they did in ours. A part of the game plan is hitting it long, mainly to the flanks, but also down the middle. The latter tactic isn't working, which isn't surprising when Cullen is up front. But Vipotnik isn't faring much better. So a Moore type striker might be more congruent with Sheehan's game plan. I wouldn't object, as long as we didn't overdo it. But would Montague sanction such a move?
