Alan Sheehan-Manager for Next Season

Hellberg was my preference, but only marginally so. Sheehan is a lower risk appointment given that he's shown he can get a tune out of the team and has extensive knowledge of the EFL.

The big challenge ahead for Sheehan is maintaining our superb defensive form should O'Brien (probably) and Darling (50 50) leave. It's highly unlikely that any O'Brien replacement will be as capable, not from the beginning anyway.

I'm confident of a mid table position next season at least, but we could challenge for the playoffs with good squad additions. Automatic promotion is unlikely, but not out of the question.

On a side note I don't think Mark Fotheringham and Richard Stearman have been given enough credit in relation to our upturn. If Sheehan gets the job the they surely have to get the jobs too. As before they Came, Sheehan was a mixed bag.

It shouldn’t. Millwall have everything to play for and will be right up for it. It’s a difficult fixture.

I imagine a small bit yes. It would be nice not just for the result but for the team and club if we can get a win and then a result next Saturday for last match. Steady heads all. If we lose then no shame. We have gone from a few points from the drop to 11th and not far from playoffs in a few weeks. Usually I would react negatively, but under circumstances and what Sheehan and his set up has shown I am confident we will win these matches next season comfortably. All we ask is for the team to show passion. If not then it gets hairy

Defo. Just watching how they interact with the players on match day and during training shows a group who clearly know what they are doing. It's a distant memory from Williams, who always seemed to be the only one speaking to players, when he could be bothered. I stand by that Sheehan and Co had little influence on the team during his tenure. Well results shown it.
