I’m right as it’s fact that he has been playing players away from natural position. That said, he is not the only clown we’ve had do this.

He shouldn’t be given the job (opinion). He might be given the job (opinion) as our leadership team are fairly clueless (opinion bordering on fact).

The fact is he has a 11 points from 7 games with a 1.57 points per game ratio.
On course for a 72 points season with those figures...that gets you in and around the play offs.
Of course it's hard to judge over a course of the season but the guy is delivering play off challenging form.

The guy has more to back him up as a candidate as let's say Ramsay and Davies. I don't think he is the correct choice personally but it's certainly a bit silly to say that he hasn't done enough to be seriously considered.

The link with Paul Watson and Nathan Jones has done him no favours for sure.

I’m not arguing against your PPG stat.

Don't think it can be argued with and that in itself suggests that he deserves to be right in the mix as per my original post.
Throw in no connection with the 2 I have mentioned and surely he would have a lot more pushing for him.

Do I think he is the man to take us forward? No would be my answer.

He’s done a decent job.

The club have to appoint a new manager as we are desperate for a boost and we won’t get it with him.

If he were to get the job, potential is there with new faces on playing front to boost the place.
Just my view on that.

Personally a new face at the helm with new faces on the pitch is a double boost albeit not a granted for success either way.

That PPG might be relevant if we played managerless Rotherham and managerless Stoke 6 times a season. "Playoff challenging form" good lord did people already forget the first half today? Two Cullen goals and some are content to settle for another half season of grim stagnation? Have standards fallen that much?

The pro-Sheehan campaigning has been quite odd.

Or top 6 WBA or in form Coventry.
If we are going to cherry pick then let's take those 2 for example.

I'm not stating he gets the job just trying to highlight he isn't being taken as seriously as he deserves.

Good point. Jasper is one of the most miserable of the lot on here

I don’t see many that bang the Sheehan drum. He may well be a very nice chap and one that the players get on with, however that does not translate into master of tactics. Any new manager is likely to want his own team, but even if he doesn’t then we cannot afford to keep Sheehan on the basis of some loyal gesture.

I don’t think you can possibly say that someone who has done a semi decent job on a caretaker basis should be a candidate to do the role on a permanent basis.

If they give him the job, serious questions will need to be asked.

I understand where he is coming from, he has valid points but it's certainly not a one sided debate on Sheehan being fairly considered for the job or not.

Only result I think is questionable in terms of getting something from was the Boro game.
Every other game was probably what was expected/hoped.
Yeah, if it wasn’t for Rushworths moment of madness, I think we’d have beaten Boro. At the time we were in the ascendancy. We’ll never know for sure.

Appoint him then we lose 3 on the bounce and you all would be calling for his head.

Same applies even if we appoint someone else.
Football is fickle........writing off someone who has 11 points from 7 games highlights it also.
