• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I agree on all of your points, the lack of a man on the near and/or far post is always a bugbear for me.

Similarly the lack of a player or two up near the halfway line is always something that gripes me, by having everyone in the box you are inviting the other team to leave only one token player back and let everyone else be in and around the box. Admittedly the lack of any real pace in the side right now doesn't do that theory any favours but still why invite more players into the box when you don't have to?

Agree about leaving attackers up for corners but if you leave one and haven't got the pace to support him, leaves him isolated, if you have two and put them out wide on each wing to stretch the defence with no pace they are still isolated, so do you play the two closer together so they are not isolated?
Or do you get more pace in the team!

Young pacy players need to be nurtured to use their pace wisely as they sometimes think the pace is the only weapon they need, let's hope that happens whether out on loan, in the youth setup or with first team experience.
