• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Radio 1 back in the day when it was never overun by ridicolous presenters waffling on about nonsense .
Today the listening audience lap it up , send us your texts , photos , voice mails etc, we will big you up .

Andy Peebles always had a neutral approach to broadcasting , Manchester based it I remember vaguely .

Some of the Radio Presenters I am forced to listened to these day are totally hysterical and OTT .

Age thing I know .

I concur.
I was listening to my chum Whispering Bob yesterday afternoon and thought a similar thought.

Scott Mills keeps banging on about his husband, Sara Cox and Vernon Kay bang on about Bolton and Zoe Ball withered on about everything. Radio two has become unlistenable

Must have missed the nonsene waffle of Sarah Cox announcing herself as a Bolton lass followed by her being a proud born and bread Northener .

Last time I looked Bolton was in Lancashire , bit away from them up North .

Name dropping is another issue grinding my gears , you chatted to some wannabe at a freebie night out then continue to plug that meeting all show , what a lovely guy and his music is a must listen .

Whilst on my soapbox Commercial Radio presenters introducing Robbie or Elton as their next song lined up .
Your not on first name terms with these artists for goodness sake .

Lisa Tarbuck has the obscure Saturday Evening slot on R2 , but what a listen and great fun .

Daytime Radio would never tolerate her broadcasting style sadly .

That's why I listen to 6. At least Lauren Laverne and Craig Charles are interesting.
