• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Mrs Bear is griping about weeds on the driveway. She'd really like me to blow the budget on Pathclear but I find the weeds are back within a fortnight.

Anyone got any recommendations for weed killer that will agent orange my driveway until next year?

You’ll struggle to get any that will wipe them out completely. As it happens I was in a meeting with a land remediation chap last week and he uses the same stuff that you can buy on Amazon - glyphosate. Can take a week or so to start working, depending on the weather.

First one of 2026 done today boys and girls. I don’t recommend it though, it was way too soft and it looks a bit messy now. That’s fine for this time of year though. It was also very long so at least that’s done, give it a few weeks to repair itself now. The combination of a glorious spring day and a day off got me all overexcited today and I lack self control in these matters.

But spring has sprung baby 😍😍😍

I gave mine a severe frowning at then decided to do some work on the boat instead.

I spotted a male wearing a vest whilst walking his dog in Llansamlet today. Spring has sprung baby!
Had a job up at Porthcawl's Victoria Avenue [nice area] guy walked past as I went to van in a T Shirt Shorts and Flipflops, I was in work clothes and had my fleece on, must be my age :ROFLMAO:

I'm hoping the geese will do most of the grass eating this year although they can't half crap all over the place too.
The Mrs does ours, but she's moaning about a bad back this week so she's not done it, I need to take a closer look at her terms and conditions in her contract, I'm sure there's nothing in there that mentions a dereliction of duty due to a bad back :ROFLMAO:

That's the life, you've got a good one there 😍

Think we're heading out Saturday for a few hours. I'll upload a photo of my Guinness with its obligatory rating.
