Anyone received an invite to the Fans Forum yet?

The decision to take it "pitch side" will just water down general opinion - colour me cynical but there is a reason these forums have been inside before and I'l guarantee now the feelings wi be much softer outside because of the nature in which the discussion will take place

Also some will be put off on a cold (wet) night in Swansea

I think it strange to put it out in the stand, and apart from it’s nailed on to be freezing, I can’t see what difference it’ll make to the questioning / questions / answers. Is there a bit of psychology behind your thinking?

I've got to be honest here. Got to stop with conspiracy theories. It's only because so many have asked to attend. And, come on, they were never going to hire the Arena(for eg) were they ? (Others have suggested this).

Put 1000 people in a stand and it makes it harder to get questions asked - two people with roving mics can cover a room relatively easily but the practicalities of it will make it harder and also (in my view) take away some of the “mood” especially if it’s cold (given it’s February that’s very likely)

Also means that the answer a question and move on becomes much much easier which was Coleman’s mantra last time

Add to that he has done some belly tickling this week and also has montague ready for a “look at what we did” I think this forum will as a result be less than the last in terms of gauging the room

It won’t achieve anything anyway, short of a concerted chant of ‘wanker, wanker, wanker’ when Willy shows his smug coupon (I remembered Jaxs!). That’s probably why they’ve put it in the west not the east…no chance of any chanting.

It’s not a conspiracy theory - they had more than 800 requests a few days back but I firmly believe that forum inside with 200 would give a better gauge than an outside one with double of that …

I understand exactly where you're coming from about the venue and intensity etc etc. I really do. It won't be the same. So, how do you pick the privileged 200 ?

If they only picked 200 from 800 to attend, the uproar would be monumental. Hand picked, all plants etc etc.

I know you’ve hosted plenty of them before, but I’m not buying it’s going to make a difference to the questions asked, the anger of a lot of fans etc. it’ll be shite because it’s outside in the middle of winter, which will put people off, but sounds like there’ll be plenty there.
