Are the Swans going to make move for free agents?

How can the Empoli guy help us, getting on for 34 years old and with one goal in two years? What have you seen from watching Serie A that leads you to your conclusion?
Last season he played a total of 356 mins
Season before he played 566mins.
He was being used as a sub mainly due to his age so wouldn't read too much into his 2 seasons at Empoli as I am not doing also based on his involvement there. His time before Empoli was when he was at his consistent level.
He would bring a wealth of experience and despite his age would bring good movement albeit his speed is probably not as it was with his advancing years.

He has a good goalscoring record and his experience would be a major advantage at this level.

I don't think we would be in a position to turn our noses up to a 33yr old who has over 100 goals in just over 400 games in mainly Serie A in our current position.

I would be more encouraged if we were bringing this guy in or any on my list rather than right back Christie and left winger Reach(who has since left us).

Daps, this guy is as far away from being the answer as you or I am.

Couldn't tell you if he is the answer until he plays. On paper and from his goalscoring record it would appear that he would be of benefit to us but the proof would really be in the pudding as the saying goes.

Question is, would he be better on paper to what we have now?
Our options are over previous seasons, one guy who has got 7 and 8 over a couple of seasons in the champ and the other who has 10 in a season in ligue 2 and 20 in the Slovenian top flight and 9 in the Slovenian 2nd division.

In that time this Italian has been his club's top scorer with 9 and 11 in 2 seasons at Genoa in Serie A.

For a short term option until the end of the season then I would disagree that he is not a good option for us.

- Limited game time in last two years
- Not attached to club and isn’t getting game time
- Will take an age to get up to match speed
- Poor goals return in recent years
- Wont be cheap, this guy has Italian caps and has played for the likes of AC Milan and Roma
- Is nearly 34 years old

He’s no better on paper than our Cullen option.

You're wasting your energy, Coops

We all know any player without a club at this stage of the season is without a club for a reason. They're shite.

Well we are hovering over the possibility of having to go into this market unfortunately.
We are only another injury away in a certain department before we have to hit this market and there is a big argument that we need to already.

Skippy has hit the angle that these players are free because their shite, I don't necessarily agree with that but he is entitled to his view but I agree that they would need time to get up to speed but we might have to take that gamble soon.

We should have moved quicker and sooner in this market and we were made to regret those actions when Eom got injured.

Destro might not be the answer, I personally believe we need a bit of creativity or speed before a central striker, even a player who can play at 10 or the wing and can then cover as 3rd choice up top.

The reality of it all, club will likely not get anyone other than possibly Christie in until the window opens in January.

I only highlighted this guy as his name stood out to me; have watched Bologna live quite a few times over last ten years and I remembered his name. This led me to read what he’s done in recent times.

All those players on that list are a pile of wank.

It's basically a copy and pasted a list of names with absolutely zero knowledge of their ability and what they'd offer us differently to what we currently have.

It's called the Paul Watson scouting diary 😂

Word over here is Pato is back to Swans as an early Xmas prezzie.

No Pato no party, up top. Leader of our frontline.

Dressing room leader and highly popular with players, staff and Execs.

Sorely missed on and off the pitch.
