Are we stronger or weaker?

The question was based on the changes of Dacroix and O'brien over the departure of Grimes and Abdulai considering the views of our ex-skip by some

This is the concern.
I am not against Williams going, replacing him with someone who will have the same working conditions and players at hand and just think it's like waving a magic wand is a head scratcher for me........plus the amount it will take to get it done.
No one with any sense thinks it will be like waving a magic wand, but this team is definitely underperforming. I've said it many times before, but you can't change all the players and you can't sack the owners/chairman, so the only realistic option to spark improvement is to change the manager.

We are weaker both as a squad and relative to the rest of the league, just in numbers we are down and we really had no leeway in the squad to lose anyone. Time will tell if O'Brien is an upgrade over Grimes.

Hull, Oxford, Plymouth have strengthened. Cardiff not hugely.

There's only two answers. Look at free agent market for something in forward areas.

And free Willy

Always been discussed the free agent market but we definitely need to bring a couple of free agents in. The squad is really thin now.

We need to be looking at midfield and something creative to come in and soon.

Personnel wise it depends if O'Brien offers more than Grimes.
We all expect it but we really don't know.
I would class us as weaker mainly because LW is still here.

I would say that is now inevitable.
He seemed to be pretty relevant in the O'Brien video on the website mind.

I'd keep him as far away from Fairwood as humanly possible. Burkina Faso maybe

Free agents on stupid wages and on contracts longer than we want to give them.

Get rid of Williams and hope for a small new manager bounce to keep us up and then repeat next season.

Williams is taking us down. I'd go as far as to say he's the worst manager we've ever had.

I'd wager Bradley would get a better tune out of this lot.

Not an option, but are there similar players out there.

From the Coventry Evening Telegraph

The one remaining unknown is the prospect of signing exciting forward Jamie Paterson, who has been training with the club for the last few weeks and earned rave reviews from head coach Frank Lampard who says he’s looking fit, sharp and been “brilliant” in the dressing room. Available on a free after leaving MLS side Charlotte FC in North Carolina, the 33-year-old appears to be a ‘no-brainer’ given the fact that he can play in several positions – on either wing, attacking midfield and as a second striker. That versatility, experience and quality could be invaluable if City continue their upward curve and push for the play-offs.

O’Brien is probably better than Grimes but he needs to understand that he’ll have Fulton alongside him so may take a while to get up to speed after the shock of that sinks in.
Darling’s still here but he won’t be in June so does he give a f**k any more?

A better manager would, of course, make the same squad stronger but I’m far from convinced that we’ll get one even as we slide further towards the bottom three.
