Oko-Flex played for West Ham in the Europa Conference League (8 minutes) before he came to us this season.

Does this now mean that he cannot play for any other club this season (I think you can be registered for up to three clubs but can only play for two)

In which case if he goes back to West Ham then they must either

a. want to play him
b. believe he will develop more around their players than ours

Am I right on the two clubs?

Interestingly the same applies for Finley Stevens who played for Brentford in the Carabao Cup

I guess both Brentford and West Ham will think that they're better off not playing at their parent clubs than they are not playing here! Which doesn't say a lot about how we've used either player if we're being honest.

Oko-Flex has at least been coming off the bench a fair bit (1 start and 12 subs appearances), so hopefully West Ham will be convinced to leave him here for the rest of the season. At least he's a wildcard coming off the bench, like a modern day Mo Barrow.

I know it was said a bit last January with that kid we wanted from Man City that Guardiola felt he could learn more in amongst their squad which makes sense.

Stevens from what I understand Brentford think can provide an option they are short on at the moment but I agree with you on Oko-Flex he is playing a bit here so it kind of makes sense he stays - especially if he can't get gametime anywhere other than here (or there which is quite unlikely)

Think West Ham have lost 5 in a row after tonight's result, they may feel they need him to perk the team up, be a face palm moment for Martin if that does happen and he does well.
Think we're gonna struggle to convince teams to loan us their players, whilst Martin is still here.

I do believe he should have played more whilst he has been here but I just cant see him getting near their first team at the moment

FWIW I think he will stay

He won’t be going back to WHU for Premier League game time.

It’s one of two scenarios:
1. He’s feeding a negative vibe back to the parent club.
2. West Ham are unhappy at the lack of game time.
In fact it’s probably a combination of both.

I hope he does stay and I hope Martin can see sense and play him, nothing really to lose by giving him a run of 4/5 games, can't see him letting us down, think he's got to much quality for that.

I don’t think we’ll be seeing Flex again, or the other two who were left out.

And now Martin has confirmed it.

Thats the quote I could find on Wales online:

"Armstrong's a different case really," explained Martin. "Fin Stevens has been called back by Brentford. We've had chats with West Ham, Armstrong and his agent recently.

"We're not quite sure what's going to happen there. I think with that uncertainty, whether they call him back or not, is probably not conducive to him being in a good place to give us everything (against Watford).

"He's a great kid, we've really enjoyed having him so we'll have to wait and see."

When you’re talking to the agent and West Ham it means one thing. He’ll be gone.

With finances as dire as they reportedly are then any loan signings should be good enough to get into the 1st team. We can't afford to subsidise players wages to the benefit of a couple of Premier league clubs

He is goos enough. Bizarrely the manager doesn't think so.
