• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Terrible news. I’d get rid of BBC1 before BBC4.

Was Montalbano and salamander on this channel?
If so it is a poor decision

Yes. Music Fridays. Great documentary programming. Foreign drama. Typical

The Beeb say BBC4 is going online only but that also means it will be readily available on iPlayer. Appreciate not everyone has SkyQ but for me this change will just mean an extra couple of button presses. Is iPlayer available via the Freeview service? You can also get the iPlayer app on your phone and cast it to an internet connected TV.

I agree some of the music content on BBC4 is good so I shall still watch it via the above methods

With more and more people using Netflix / Amazon / Disney etc, it was always on the cards. Same thing as shops and people wanting better choice, cheaper prices. More of the same to come no doubt.

This’ll be one of those things where everyone thinks the BBC should cost less but when it comes to actually getting rid of stuff they’ll say they should keep the things that they like and only get rid of the things that other people like that they don’t. It’s like those people who only claim to watch the “nature programmes” and nothing else. Liars, in other words. See also - “serious musos”. Twats.

Would you call someone who went to 2 gigs in 3 days a “serious muso “?

If you mean me then bloody hell no. I wouldn’t know a fretboard from a drumstick amd wouldn’t have a clue what to do with either.

I think BBC4 should stay where it is because it’s a great channel.

Kind of my point really. I agree with you.
