• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Really!
Here's my secret...

Step 1. Peel potatoes
Step 2. Cut potatoes into shape and size (lengthways)
Step 3. Place chipped potatoes into a suitable vessel containing hot vegetable oil
Step 4. Fry until a golden brown colour
Step 5. Add salt, vinegar and perhaps a little pepper
Step 6. Eat...

See easy peasy 😎

Sounds good, I wouldn't mind tasting your chips SJ, you seem to have the right idea, my missis cooks them in the air fryer, and it's a bit of one day good, and a few days bad.

Ferk that, better fried surely? Talking Swansea Market hipkin sausages here from Abrahams stall, cooking those on a air fryer would never do them justice, taste wise?

Try it kid..
Trust me 👍

You’ll never have a better cooked sausage than a sausage cooked in an air fryer.

That is highly doubtful, no way in the world, are the top chefs cooking their sausages on a Morphy Richards Air Fryer...

Chippenings best cooked in a deep fat fryer with rapeseed oil, as for sausages I who knows.

I doubt the top chefs are cooking sausages.

But if they did, they would not cook them in an air fryer. They would never just air fry them. They may do other stuff, prior delivering to table, but I would be astonished if they actually air fried them.

It was in 2023, that the 'air fryer' replaced 'nazis' in Godwins Law.

Yes, that maybe. But if they did would they cook them in an air fryer? No way in the world, would the likes of Gordon Ramsey use an air fryer?

I have watched a few vids over this air fryer stuff, because I have not been happy with the quality of chips the missis has presented, and from what I gather there is a bit more too it than just chucking them in the air fryer. Like I would think, you would have to spend at least a minute prepping said sausages before air frying, that could be putting them in a bowl, and making sure they are covered in oil.

Nope. Bung sausages in air fryer. Turn on air fryer. 15 minutes later, et voila, perfectly cooked sausages.
