• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

They had a couple in The Ferry a few years ago for fraud.
When they were in court they claimed they weren’t living as man and wife because he couldn’t get an erection because of his diabetes.
She was sent to jail.

I would guess, if they weren’t that silly to post their snaps on social media, they would have got away with it.

Covid created a huge backlog in Benefits reviews, applications and personal circumstances. The quick fix was just to pay it. Now the chickens are finally coming home to roost....

There are hundreds, if not more, couples doing exactly the same in Swansea, let alone elsewhere; this is the tip of the iceberg, unfortunately.
True, and some of the ones doing it, make exactly the same mistake as the couple that caught. It’s a well known fact DWP check social media, and these people will post freely on Facebook, pictures of themselves and partner and not even bothering changing their privacy settings to friends only.

Absolutely, Facebook makes the police and Crown Prosecution Services job a lot easier, which is a good thing. A lot of humans are as thick as paint in fairness.

Another frequent fraud is a partner who owns a property renting it to their other partner via DHSS, but claiming its a landlord / tenant scenario.
