Again, I wish to thank you all so dearly for these lovely comments and stories. Its heart warming to know how very highly thought of he was and still will be for years to come.
We have been inundated with visitors and could probably open our own florist! Now that the visits are trailing off and my children return to school, I will be sitting down with my parents and reading out all these lovely stories to them.

We have the dreaded task now of planning james' funeral and I would like to have your blessings to have some of these lovely words read at the service.

Thanks again everyone xxx
I'm sure all posters would give you blessings, and honoured that some of their words and memories will be used at the service

Take care

Absolutely gutted to hear the news about James and taken a while to comment. A really top lad that spent time with our family in Carlisle as well as being a work colleague. So many laughs and stories but he had some dark times too. RIP my friend and sincere condolences to you family. Gone too soon and will be sadly missed.

Like numerous other contributors to this thread, I rarely post on here, but I’m a frequent visitor, so am ‘familiar’ with the characters on this site and Blaze was clearly respected and a good pal to quite a few of you. Having waved goodbye myself, to a family member just last week, I’m aware of the sense of loss, so just wanted to pass on my condolences to all those who loved Blaze and lost him. He’ll be at peace, now.

Didn’t he want to learn to drive a helicopter? 🤣

I am also late to this thread and it's shocking to hear this very sad news.
My deepest sympathies to all his family and many, many friends.
From what I can remember he wasn't shy in telling the likes of me off for being little tinkers whilst under the influence......
I think I used to tell him " well we support the Swans Blaze mun, they drive us to drink!"
His reply ......."You're just being a knob Dicky!!!"
Remember the great and good times......they far outweigh the bad.

Love to all.

Blimey they’re all coming out of the woodwork.
Hope you’re well my friend.

Thanks for letting us know DP. I had good times keeping in touch with Blaze on another short lived site that include the Park Keeper. How quickly and sadly times change, will be missed. Best wishes to the family. Thoughts are with you.
