We have today (22nd April) confirmed the closure of JackArmy.net on 31st May. Sadly so, and there are people both an ocean away and closer to home, who are desperate for travellers to be permanently situated in (not their's!) someone else's backyard.
The all time classic was a guy during a radio converstion, whom called protesting residents racist for not wanting a traveller site in their own locality.
He then had the tables turned on himself live on air on Swansea Sound by having it pointed out that he himself lived in an area (not on shorlist) that had a specific location within his own locality that showed excellent caravan hardstanding pitch potential.
He then went extremely evasive "no comment" about that suggestion. I guess he would not be very popular with his neighbours if he agreed with it, and he more than obviously did not want one in his own postcode area anyhow..... LOL!!!!
