Braverman

I just read the tweet she put out, wasn't very well put, but I can understand what she is trying to say.

Come to think of it, she's labelled everyone the same. Seems she wants to get rid of tents to stop begging and antisocial behaviour, yet banning would not solve that?

Yeah even for me, that is a very silly tweet,

She is the Home Secretary not Dai from the Globe.

I agree with a lot of what she says, not all.

Comparing her to Patel is bonkers, Patel is a vile person.

She is doing everything she can to outdo Patel in the ‘I’m an evil bastard’ competition. And she has won that hands down.

Didn't the Globe host a meeting of right wing loons a few years ago?

Aye. Nick Griffin was welcomed with open arms there. More than once I believe but I could be wrong about that.

Ahh yes I remember that now, also remember a rally these loons organised at Castle Gardens a few years ago, the police basically rounded them up and herded them into Yates for the afternoon

Wouldn’t have been difficult getting them into their natural habitat.

As ever what she has said is clearly designed to pitch to a certain demographic/base and amplification from her political foes is exactly what she wants and gets time after time.

However on the broader point, politicians in the centre need to start talking about the homeless problem. It is a big issue and the truth is there are a lot of people who are refusing help and drug taking is rife.

Families should not be walking past needles on the ground which is the case, something big needs to be done on this as this goes hand in hand with spikes in shoplifting as well.

The streets do need to be cleaned up but it needs to be done with compassion and intelligence. I don’t have the answers, it’s an incredibly complex issue but one thing is certain. It needs tough hard headed thinking to turn this problem around. Well meaning people giving someone a few quid is not doing any good. It’s a vicious circle.

Before this goes down an inevitable rabbit hole can I just say I think far more money and resources needs to go into this issue. It should be cross party. No one should be sleeping on the streets. But it’s a multifaceted issue that won’t be solved without bold thinking.

I know, that's what i was trying to say, she is trying to cure a problem, but has gone grossly over the top.

The way I see it, if people in tents are causing problems then maybe an extension of a section 35 dispersal notice would be better, not just punish every homeless person using a tent.

She’s just appealing to the mouth breathers and window lickers so she can take over from Tichy when he loses the next election.

Which would ultimately be sorted by closing tax loopholes abused by Rothmere and co. Job done

For quite a while now, I've been wondering who is the least likeable MP between Coffey and Braverman but this latest vile utterance has removed any doubt. Coffey is indeed useless, breathtakingly arrogant and thoroughly unlikeable but the vile slime Braverman is now on a completely different level and it's a level I would never have believed could exist in our parliament. Maybe I just believed the British public could never elect someone quite so shamelessly disgusting but how times have changed. If Sunak has even a microscopic element of decency, surely he must be cringing in embarrassment every time this monster of a 'woman' speaks. The fact that she's manoeuvring to become the next leader of the Nasty Party is a truly scary and saddening prospect but if it makes them unelectable for the next decade, it will be some sort of silver lining in what is rapidly becoming a darker and darker cloud.
