Suella Braverman departs as UK home secretary ...

Meanwhile, polling company Savanta ComRes has brought their latest voting intention poll out today which gives:
Labour 52 (+1)
Tories 22 (-1)

Can the Tories reach 10 before the end of October?

Yes but its meaningless 2 years from an election , I'm not sure all this is going to work out well for labour , I was hoping for an extended period of a shambles with truss , if she is replaced by someone more competent , those polls will soon narrow

Grant Shapps mind

Someone the PM didn't deem fit enough to run public transport 6 weeks ago.. is now in charge of home affairs

A vicious psychopath out and a multiple identity fraudster in.

How splendid. Just what the country needs.

Won't be long now before sunak replaces truss

Yeah, cos that guy’s really got the common touch…… if ever you needed a definition of ‘sh!t sandwich’.

Anyone thinks that Cruella has done this by accident needs their head read, she even goes out of her way to let you know that the document was not sensitive and was in the public domain. It’s just a new trigger, she’ll probably be PM by Thursday.

I think so much pressure is building up behind the dam wall, something has to give. Maybe the nurses' strike will do it

I agree definitely not an accident

It would be great if there was an early election and the higher echelons of the Tory party might calculate better to lose now and let labour be in for whatever is going to happen , but at the individual Tory MP level , they will want to keep their jobs as long as possible

I agree, I just can't see this shyteshow sustaining itself much longer.

And with it goes her dream of seeing plane loads of immigrants jetting off to Rwanda. How very sad.

I actually felt relieved when my missus told me Cruella had resigned. She was a seriously dangerous and deranged vile reptile and it really bothered me that she was in a position of such power.

It comes to something when people like Jeremy Hunt and Grant Schapps are considered the sensible options. There must be a role somewhere for a 4th rater like Sir Gavin Williamson.

ERG.

Prayed on the thick and the vulnerable.

If anything positive comes out of this disaster it will be the likes of Cruella and Brexit Hardman Steve Baker gone for good.

Dorries, Kwarteng and Braverman all right wing brexit nutters gone

Swansea City v Leeds United
