About to start.

Come On Lewis Hamilton, get that Merc purring :D

Amazing he’s ok after that.
That’s a long way to slide upside down and at speed

Do they overtake on the actual track these days, or is it still type of tyres / amount of pitstops etc etc.

It was a shocking crash, don't know what Russell was thinking coming across like he did, could have been a fatality there easily.

And what's the fans first reaction as they see a car coming towards them, get their f*cking phones out

The last time i watched a grand prix, admittedly 5 years or so ago, the top placed drivers didn't pass each other on the track, it was all down to pit stops. The only overtaking was the top lot passing back markers, who used to pull over for them anyway.

There was a clip on Twitter this morning, must have been the next level down from F1, where one car landed on top of another, and they said that the halo system saved his lfe.

On some tracks overtaking is very difficult still, converted street circuits etc

Pierre Gasly made contact with Russell's car, and then the Mercedes slammed into Zhou.
